U.S. gun manufacturing soars as Americans worry about security

The American firearms industry is as healthy as ever, seeing an unprecedented surge that has sent production of guns soaring to more than 10.8 million manufactured in 2013 alone — double the total of just three years earlier. The 2013 surge — the latest for which the government has figures — came in the first full year after the December 2012 shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School, signaling that the push for stricter gun controls, strongly backed by President Obama, did little to chill the industry despite the passage of stricter laws in states such as New York, Maryland, Connecticut and California.

The surge in gun sales was caused by the legislation. How can you miss something so obvious? They didn't. But they're hoping their audience does.

"It must be true, Martha! I just read it in the newspaper!"

The founders thought about it and decided that the biggest threat to freedom loving folks, in the context of guns, was a government that thinks it should disarm it's citizens. Much bigger threat than a bunch of stupid bikers shooting each other.

PO'd.
He's obviously a progressive, collectivist, commie, statist. Which is to say arguing with him would be senseless.
Just tell him, "Sir, you should know that Obama is not the Wizard and has no brain for you."

What a piece of propaganda this is. Everyone know the Washington Times is owned by the Moonies which control almost a third of the US firearms industry.
