This is twice in a week I have seen some media hit on "lax concealed carry laws". This might be enemy action. This might be Bloomturd's next push. Most people don't know the CC laws in their state anyway, and the ninnies are always wanting more laws.

DuPree is a member of Bloomie's illegal mayors group, and is currently in civil contempt of a court order.

Like those hood rats were carrying legally?
Seems to me I've seen reports on their past history and drug use that would make them prohibited persons ...
and I do believe that some folks with certain criminal histories SHOULD be prohibited persons because they've prove themselves to be inclined to crimes of violence.
(Yes, there are also a lot of people who have been designated prohibited persons who should not be, too. And yes, the govt seeks to make as many people,e as possible prohibited persons for their own nefarious reasons.)

This is what happens when the uneducated elect someone, that is educated beyond they're intelligence. When you allow people to vote that have proven they can not control their own lives w/o hand outs, the end game is very easy to grasp. Well for self thinkers anyway.

Explain to me what law could have prevented this tragedy.

There's a big difference between a punk-ass street thug with a stolen Glock in his waistband (giving him a bad case of droopy drawers), and Joe Citizen carrying in a proper holster under his jacket. While both maybe carrying concealed, I contend it is the thug with bad intentions, no background check, multiple felony convictions, no permit, and an unsecured firearm that is the problem. Not concealed carry itself. I wonder how many unreported incidents of lives being saved in the Hattisburg area by good citizens exercising their rights of self defense there are?

Hey, Anonymous,
It is "their" not they're. You might fit into that uneducated category, too.
