Don't know how old you or your readers are but, I remember my Father and Grandfather saying that as soon as JFK got in, the amount of print/airway lies exploded. Ike never put up with such, could be why he was "The Last True American President" an since then we have had nothing but agenda presenters/pushers, to include Ronny Ray-Gun. Disinformation is a tool being used by most all media to bring down this country, whose roots stem from the late 50's. Self thinkers are as uncommon as common sense any more, but the jean pool will be Clorox-ed before this nation goes tits up.

I attended The University of Florida in the late 1960's. I arrived the year after The Florida Alligator had been forced out as the campus' official newspaper over publishing a nude centerfold of one Ms. Pam Brewer. Both Ms. Brewer and the newspaper were doing fine. She was the proprietor of The Subterranean Circus, a thriving head shop within walking distance of campus and the newspaper was apparently supporting itself with enough ad revenue to keep distribution free. That put them into direct competition with Gainesville's existing newspaper, The Gainesville Sun.

I bring this up merely to point out that both newspapers, in a town of 28,000 college students and 60,000 residents had a higher page count than today's Miami Herald that supposedly covers the largest population center in Florida.

When you hitch your wagon to a shooting star, as the print and broadcast media have done, things don't go well for you if said shooting star crashes and burns in a spectacular fashion.

Not print media, but still a 20th century relic, nightly broadcast news still hits 20-30 million homes each night. Don't underestimate the power of the dinosaur media, they still have enormous sway in our society.

Anon @ 6:15am - your bias(s) is showing...............
I was alive when JFK was 'elected' albeit still in my youth. And I had enough common sense to figure out 2 things: 1) the dems were stealing elections (look up the results in Cook County IL) and the 'media' realized just how much control they could exert (see the TV vs radio results of the K & N 'debates').
I will agree with you that far too many folks do not (cannot? - will not?) be bothered to do a bit of digging to find out what is really going on.
