Three doctor's visits and a stress test today.

Which explains the intermittent posts and comment releases. My apologies. I'm now wearing a 24-hour cardiac monitor. The principal concern of the cardio docs seems to be that my heart is slowing down. A couple of years ago my resting heart rate was around 60-65. Now it is 40-45. I'm also getting a referral to a liver cancer specialist to see if he can't do some laproscopic state-of-the-art "zapping" of two cancerous growths on my liver. If it ain't one thing, it's another. The wound on my left foot continues to be recalcitrant about healing, so they've changed the treatment on it. Oi veh. Keep me in your prayers.

When I was fitted with a Holter monitor, it was in preparation for having a cardioverter, or pacemaker installed. The pacemaker corrects irregular heartbeats and can stimulate the heart to beat at a desired frequency. I was diagnosed with cardiac failure and an irregular-irregular heartbeat. The cardioverters are usually made by Medtronic. It has kept me going for the last 4 years, and I actually feel better than I did before. Each person's case is different, but ventricular fibrillation had made me very tired. I hope you improve naturally, with the appropriate help and prayers.

Mike, I cannot begin to tell you what an inspiration you are.

Stay in the fight, as you are able, but first take care of yourself.

You remain very much in our thoughts and prayers.
