"In a weaselly attempt to get business back from online ammunition dealers like Brownells or LuckyGunner, Texas gun store owner Jeremy Alcede goes on the radio supporting a ban on online ammunition sales."

Jeremy Alcede sounds just like ATK's money grubbing. They are the company that won the DHS's 450,000,000 rounds of ammo contract. But, before that, they orchestrated the destruction of military small arms brass on bases, to circumvent the brass from making it to the civilian market. Entrepreneurs or money grubbing scum?

GCA 68 had the effect of shutting down mail order gun dealers. Qui bene? Your FFL holder of course.

Seems like unenlightened self-interest.
You'd probably have to tell him who Quisling was and what he did.

We had a clown like that here in MA. A shop owner reported online sales to the A.G. who threatened the online sellers. So while mail order ammo is not forbidden, no one will fullfill your order due to threats of legal action.
Once word got out who the shop was, they were taken off of a lot of peoples lists of where to shop.

Wonder how he feels about it today???Even Texas has free range A$$holes.

Yup!

And the big store guys supported every effort buy you know who, to limit, force out of business, their smaller and cheaper competition. Nothing's changed here, traitors abound.

I sincerely hope the jerk looses his market over this because he damned well should never make another sale because of this.

Massachusetts restricts sales of ammunition to license holders:

http://www.malegislature.gov/Laws/GeneralLaws/PartI/TitleXX/Chapter140/Section122b

"Section 122B. No person shall sell ammunition in the commonwealth unless duly licensed."

The concept of sales across state lines via mail, telephone, or Internet with the individual customer located within Massachusetts and the seller outside Massachusetts is not covered. I wonder whether Massachusetts government agencies are restricted in purchasing ammunition from only within Massachusetts or whether such agencies are considered licensed sellers and are allowed to receive shipments across state lines.

Remember, with Massachusetts government agencies, what is good for me is not good for thee.
