Got militia?

"Residents guard the entrance to the village of Cheran, Mexico, July 24, 2012. The residents of the town have been in control of the area for over a year after expelling the local police and fighting off illegal loggers who were supported by a criminal organization." -- New York Times.

Fascinating. Especially since it's illegal for private citizens to possess firearms in Mexico. Amusing that the citizens seized them from the worthless cops. I fear this town will wind up being burnt to the ground and its citizens slaughtered in the next offensive by the cartels and their federale supporters

Who said tree-huggers (like me) are at odds with the militia? :)

About time Mexico had its own Battles of Athens.
