Washington Times picks up the Tea Party Insurrection of 2016 story.
"U.S. military officers are told to plan to fight Americans."
A professor at the Joint Forces Staff College was relieved of duty in June for uttering the heresy that the United States is at war with Islam. The Obama administration contended the professor had to be relieved because what he was teaching was not U.S. policy. Because there is no disclaimer attached to the Small Wars piece, it is fair to ask, at least in Col. Benson’s case, whether his views reflect official policy regarding the use of U.S. military force against American citizens.

Courtney Massengale alive and well.
The professor is quite wrong; of course: the US is NOT at war with islam. Unfortunately, however, islam IS at war with the US; therein lies the problem.
Disagree with anonymous. Miltary in my family all defend the Constitution. Stratgy may be left to Chiefs, but unlawful orders will NOT be followed by America's armed forces personnel.
@Genoasage --
I agree with you. I have family in active duty and am a veteran myself (an officer even!). I believe that if the order is given to shoot at Americans the military is going to be hard pressed to follow through. Sure, they'll have some mind-numbed robots who will go at it in a gung-ho manner, but they'll be a minority.
And that minority and the political elites are going to have to be concerned at where the rest of guns are pointed.

"And that minority and the political elites are going to have to be concerned at where the rest of guns are pointed."
When the 'festivities' begin in earnest, ALL local, state, and federal LEO's including most of the military that doesn't stand down will be kept busy in a few urban areas by the FSA, local gangs, and the Calypso Louie types, and the MS-13 and Outlaw type gangs.
They will be pretty much outnumbered, and who knows what party favors these groups are preparing.
There may not be much left of them by the time they get around to us Bitter Clingers.
Sorry to break this to you but; No US Army unit in our history has ever failed to carry out an order to attack civies. Not once. OH there have been a handfull of officers who have refused.ALL of them were relived and court martialed. The US ARMY/military Has NEVER disobeyd an order to kill any groop , even children(Gen Jacob hurd Smiths order to kill all male childen over 10 years age) No Genoasage they Will Obey. They allways have. This is the very reason our founding fathers warned us not to allow a standing army, and why we MUST disband the military we now have or perrish as a nation. Let me say this one more time. NO us army UNIT IN OUR HISTORY HAS EVER DISOBAYED AN ORDER TO ATTACK AND KILL UNARMED CIVILIANS. Not one.Not ever.
I appreciate the fact that there actually are conscientious "Oath Keepers" in the military as well as in various federal, state, and local policing agencies. However members of these military and police agencies have a history of following orders or "going with the flow" and firing upon, or otherwise assaulting, American citizens regardless of the Constitution.
I'm guessing that W.T. Sherman regarded himself as an honorable soldier with honorable intentions, but he and his soldiers, who were also honorable men, waged a dishonorable war upon southern noncombatants, men, women, children and even the very people their government professed to be striving to emancipate.
I think we can depend upon the majority of all government "troops" at ALL levels to shoot to kill whomever they are convinced by their superiors are their enemy.
Operation "Fast and Furious" is an excellent case that illustrates my point. There were uncounted numbers of federal personnel at all levels and several agencies who were involved in that unconstitutional, illegal, immoral operation, and only a hand-full of those people have been willing to go against the flow and say, "No more." Even those men delayed going outside their chain of command until one of their own was killed as result of following illegal orders.

@Genoasage: "unlawful orders will NOT be followed by America's armed forces personnel."
Maybe not by some, but certainly by others. The use of Federal troops at universities during the Civil Rights era, for example...
This is all contingent upon how well they lie and they lie very well, when they decide to.
The troops at Tienanmen square that did the killing were brought in from another province, loyal to the regime......
They have been grooming the Officer corps for this in the US for some time. You have but to look at those promoted, to establish this. With the right personnel and the right lies and the MEDIA ON THEIR SIDE, do you really think that they wouldn't do it?
Prudence indicates that we assess that they both know what they are doing and have planned for it. Troops loyal to the constitution and bill of rights will be stood down, or convincingly lied to, to the point where the results will be the same. This is how it works folks.
No, that's really not how it works. Not anymore. I have been working with countless active duty Soldiers and Marines over the past 3 years and there is an awakening within the ranks of the military. The hot button question asked during chow, on liberty, and during training is what will you do, and the answer is coming back that the troops will not fire on the American Population. Period.
We may face UN idiots or other foreign troops that Obubu sends, and if that happens the military and local law enforcement by and large will be on our side.
This has been my life's work with Oathkeepers since their inception and I feel much better after talking to enlisted and up to Company Grade officers on the subject. My two cents.
There is a microcosm for what Anonymous at August 12, 2012 7:44 AM says:
New Orleans, LA -- Calif CHPs brought in to "restore order" gang-tackling an old woman.
Yeah, they'll do that.
It is amazing that there are now over 2500 comments on the Washington Times for this article and the total continues to climb. After reading the first few dozen, I thought that I was on the Sipsey Street Irregular site, but I was not. The Sipsey Street Irregulars comments are more moderate.
Not only do you not need to be a weatherman to know which way the wind is blowing, you do not need to be a forensic scientist to know that there is something seriously bad carried in that wind.
