My apologies for the lateness and paucity of posts, but I'm on the road in Ohio. . .

I'm talking a little treason with me comrades, as Michael O'Flynn in The Quiet Man said. I am also going to attend my 45th high school class reunion, something I have never done since graduation. (The fact of my graduation was actually the subject of serious wagering at the time, with my math teacher losing out ten bucks to the journalism teacher on the proposition that I would not graduate. The journalism teacher thought I just might sneak by, and I did. It was, however, a close run thing, as Wellington said of Waterloo.) This is the first trip in a while that I have made principally just for my self. Rosey is with me, and we have an armed house sitter so everything should be hunky-dory. Should be either fun, strange or a severe disappointment -- perhaps all three at once. We'll see.

Having been to a few reunions, you're probably going to be wondering who all the old, fat, decrepit people are. ;-)

Whew! I'm just glad nothing bad had happened. Was kinda worried when I went to SSI and nothing new was up including comments from yesterday.

Enjoy the "reunion". I missed my 10th - was literally on the wrong side of the planet (Tokyo, Japan to be exact). Went to my 20th to see, as I told my wife, who got fat, who got bald and who got grey. Surprising who got bald or fat - including a couple of the "hot chicks" from my class. A few whom I really WANTED to see weren't there.

Enjoy the trip, Dutchman. We'll keep.

Obviously your journalism teacher was a visionary.

Expect all three.

Have found that reunions are much like facebook. All your high school "friends" (whom you haven't said one word to in 20+ years)are just there to see how well you're doing socially in comparison to themselves, and could care less about anything else aside from one-upmanship.

Just my humble opinion, but I believe you've out-shone the entire lot. ;-)

It isn't treason if you are being true to your country and your fellow patriots.

Hi Mike,
We grow up and graduate from "High School." Some of us just become regular people and some really, just a few, become "Soldiers of Fortune" just like John Russell and Chick Chandler "Tim Kelly" and "Tubo Smith" in the old B & W 30 minute TV series. After seeing that show there was no way I was going to sell Life Insurance!!! 'Ya show up at one of those "reunions" and it only serve to ground you on where you are, the galaxy's you've visited and the adventures you have experienced. Ben there, done that and got the t-shirt!!
Got the "Itch!!"........OUTLAW!!!,
III%,

I went to my 40th and 45th. Very interesting, and a nice adult party both times. Went to my wife's 40th, and some drunk woman kept trying to get me to dance. Nice looking, but my wife is a batter shot than me. Scared to go to another of hers.
