ATF proposes expanding ammo bans using law enforcement protection rationale

The push to eliminate supposed “cop killer bullets” from the civilian market has been a long term goal of gun prohibitionists, with newspapers from a generation ago promoting “[e]fforts to ban the sale of such bullets, which have no sporting value...” And that term, “sporting use,” goes back even further, as research by Jews from the Preservation of Firearms Ownership has demonstrated.

Should ar-15 style pistols be banned instead ? I bet there are a lot less of those little stinging machines than there are rifles. But that opens the door to another problem. If the fucking politicians obeyed and followed the document they swore to protect,, and they followed "The right to bear shall not be infringed" this would not be happening. Its the slippery slope that began in 1934 and continues to this day. Unconstitutional gun laws, and as long as the people snore away, and the hunters that say its not a problem because they shoot deer and it wont affect them continue that deranged belief we will continue to lose our rights. When and at what point will the people react with fury and anger to start house cleaning, as in the White House and Congress ?

This is not about the protection of the police, as there are are other off the shelf rounds that can kill thru a level 3 vest. This is about the billions of affordable M855 and SS109 rounds that are now available for the US sportsman, thanks to the ill advised drawdown in Afghanistan. The Obama regime is very afraid of a citizens revolt against them and is using creative ways to limit access to high quality low cost ammunition. They reveal their ignorance when they take action like this, and only reinforce the fact that the Obama regime is a lawless gang of communist conspirators with hatred for the constitution, the military, and Americans of European ancestry, AKA White people. You can bet that lots and lots of progressive reloading machines are now flying off the shelf, as are components to load and home manufacture steel core rounds. The plain old M193 works just fine, as does the M80 ball, but that 30 caliber stuff is still too dam expensive to punch targets. Wanna bet that if the Obama commies institute some kind of draconian marshall law and weapons confiscation, and render the constitution to lighting the White House wood stove that the Military will side with the people and ammo will be free and plentiful if you promise to use it wisely by aimed fire, and proper breathing and trigger control, and strive for one shot one kill to maximize the rendering of the communists to a non breathing state

Shouldn't be allowed for this reason alone. It makes government soldiers bullet proof and invulnerable to civilian suppression, while leaving civilian soldiers completely vulnerable. Even after the ban, government can acquire millions of rounds of M855 with a quick phone call to Lake City.

Somebody out here in 'civilian land' with a metal lathe needs to start researching a quick method of mass-producing hardened rifle rounds capable of defeating government body armor.

I think a carbon steel projectile with a soft lead, brass or copper jacket should do the job while protecting the rifle bore.

Don't forget, when the dollar goes to zero, all rules and regulations evaporate into thin air.

In the meantime, stock up...

I watched a website go from 380 cases to nothing in 2 1/2 hrs. Obama is one hell of a ammo salesman too!

Maybe this is a false lead, just to track those who subsequently rush order the remaining supplies.

Anonymous at 0952. I'm not an effing "civilian". I'm a damn CITIZEN !

Folks like you don't have a clue, do you ?

If you were looking at the same website I was, it was 1,380 cases.

No worries here. I'll sit on the numerous cases of M855 I have now, along with the numerous cases of "pre ban" chicom 7.62X39 steel core that I picked up years ago. The chicom is in nice galvanized "tuna fish" cans and collecting dust in a cool dry area.

Good luck on confiscating it. It was paid for in cash through a 3rd party years ago.

Hey Dan III. I was marking a difference between government types and all other normal folks. I now have three cases of M855. Whose clueless?

One might wonder if any of the soldiers or Marines now in one of the sandboxes might send some of this home to deceased friends or relatives. Or rather, have some of their deceased comrades in arms send it to their deceased friends or relatives. Dead guys sending stuff to other dead guys.

What could go wrong with that? Sooner or later, it'll end up in a postal auction and go for next to nothing.

If it just shows up on the doorstep addressed to dear old dead Uncle Dad, anyone's going to take it in the house. It's just a box, right? How was I to know what was in it before I opened the package?

Honest to God, officer, I was gonna call you guys as soon as I could get to my phone.

I hope some of it eventually comes my way.

Wasn't 855 superseded because the army said it wasn't armor piercing?

If M855 was really worth something, you'd be able to find it on the black market. Somehow I get the impression it won't be a big seller though. What can it do that M193 (or anything 7.62) can't do?

"When and at what point will the people react with fury and anger to start house cleaning, as in the White House and Congress?"

I call this the "Why can't somebody else start a Revolution" syndrome. Sorry JAQUEBAUER, it makes no sense to ask these questions. Are you taking your rifle down to the nearest police station and shooting the place up? No? Well then...

Just wait for the economic crash, it will be along shortly. Then there should be a big stir, when families aren't being fed or people are being evicted due to non-payment of mortgages.
