Still struggling to recover.

The unfortunate thing about such trips as the one I just did is that I have to burn the candle at both ends. And the truth is I just don't have much candle these days. Keep me in your prayers.

Please take care, Mike. When you dig too deep in the well, it's liable to collapse.

Have two sicks relatives, and I'm the muscle end - getting a 190# woman plus wheelchair into/out of a house, in the snaow, with no ramp is torture, and it's far from over. So I can imagine how you feel.

Please take care and rest completely - my "Spidey Sense" is telling me that the nexus is not far off - the crumbling EU, fiat currency, invasive surveillance, crushing of civil liberities, massive illegal immigration with attendent infectious disease spread .GOV dependent population, lunacy in the Middle East, etc., etc.

It's all looking like the "perfect storm" - and I doubt anyone except the "elites" will be watching "through heavy glasses" from their offshore battleship CP's.

It will fall directly on all the population of our benighted country, and most likely the rest of the world, too.

What the trigger will be, I can't fathom, but I'm getting the feeling that this won't be a slow slide down the slippery slope. IMHO, we're looking at the abyss over a very sharp drop-off.

But, what the heck -isn't American idol on tonight? ;-)

May God's peace and love surround you and heal you. Add a two-finger tot of Jim Beam Fire, and relax.

I hear ya. I'm recovering from back pain after trying (and failing) to fix a plugged downspout. All I can say is that we need to keep plugging away, even as our actual accomplishments shrink. Humans are designed for the struggle.

Take care of yourself, Mike. We need you, and there are many, many of us out here praying for you. Thank you so much for what you have done and are continuing to do. Please stay home and rest for awhile. Those you have taught by your example can fill the gap. You have taught us well.
