What Would Happen if "Battle of Athens" Round Two Ever Becomes Necessary?

Imagine how much differently the Battle of Athens might have turned out had the corrupt sheriff's department then been able to rely on the military largesse enjoyed by McMinn authorities today.

They would first stop and take control of the tank that the town PD owns and have some fun after that...

It is essential that we always elect Sheriffs who know the Constitution and who will honor and obey it as the law of the land to protect the rights of citizens. In my mind, that means electing a Democrat to any office, especially Sheriff, would be extremely risky with regard to protecting our constitutional rights.

It would certainly be hotter and longer than Round 1. But I'm sure the outcome will be similar.

I think the PD would be absolutely out numbered and over-run. A blood bath at the station house.

I suspect that someone, somewhere either knows or has been studying the means to do to MRAPS what Russian partisans, Warsaw ghetto fighters, and Yugoslav guerillas did to Nazi tanks.

That's right, Alder. Don't need to blow them to pieces. Just flip them on their side or upside down, both conditions are decidedly fatal for an MRAP.

You might say, "flipping it on it's side is not necessarily fatal for an MRAP. All they have to do is flip it back on it's wheels".

But it is fatal when a guerrilla squad immediately storms in, kills the crew and set it ablaze.

I've seen a few self-declared patriots posts that talk about the MRAPS and how high maintenance they are and how easily they roll over and can be turned into barbeques, so there are citizens out there that are already considering how to deal with them if it becomes necessary.

MRAPs?
Let's go over this one more time:
1) Highly unreliable, prone to breakdowns.
2) Super-high maintenance costs.
3) Good luck getting parts
4) Good luck finding a mechanic who can efficiently work on it (if he isn't picked off by snipers).
