This sounds like utter bullshit to me. If you know anything about the PLP, you know that the last thing they would be up to is robbing dope dealers or slashing tires in National Guard armory parking lots. Most likely, a PLP member would be selling their unreadable newspaper in front of plant gates, the same kind of activity that the SWP would eventually take up. The PLP was a workerist sect that was involved with some major campus struggles such as the San Francisco State student strike of 1968. But its working class intervention was pretty focused on “serving the people” trade union organizing that was anything but adventuristic. In Boston, they were focused on getting their members into the GE plant in Lynn or into the local hospitals.
This is both true, false and at the least uninformed as well. I was indeed brought into PLP through joining an off-shoot of the party called the Workers' Action Movement. I was recruited, at least in part, because I was then a shop steward and organizer for the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees at University Hospital in Columbus. But PLP, like all communist parties, always had a public face and a private face. If the writer was a member of the Socialist Workers' Party he understands that. SWP had the same set up. In any case, as a Trotskyist (which was what SWP was) he would have had NO experience with the Maoist PLP, let alone their secret party. One might as well ask a blind member of a debating society (which was what SWP was -- all talk and no action -- which was why I left them) to describe the actions of a street gang. It is beyond his understanding and experience.
Try to remember, those of you whose memories extend back that far, what other groups such as the Weathermen were doing back then. Many, not just the Weather crazies, expected the workers to rise up and join the "revolutionary forces" in street actions leading to a general strike backed up by the armed wing of "urban guerrillas." That PLP's secret party countenanced such activities as those we did was hardly surprising, although later (after I sought to separate from the party) I was accused of "ideological deviations" by the same folks I reported to and who knew in general outlines what I was up to. In retrospect it was obvious that I did my job too well, and I scared the Maoist crap out people who waved the Great Leader's little red book and spoke of "political power growing out of the barrel of a gun."
Finally, on his “Benedict Arnold” period at the Ohio Historical Society. I just got off the phone with the librarian there and she told me that the box contains nothing but pamphlets, buttons, leaflets, newspapers, posters, etc. and not a single thing he produced. I was interested in any of his personal correspondence since that would give me some clues into his likely agent-provocateur past. Since there was none, I had to assume that he joined leftist groups without even a modicum of familiarity with socialist politics that allowed Ed Heisler, another FBI informant, to end up on the SWP national committee.
This Trotskyist radish is either lying or he got hold of a VERY lazy employee of the Ohio Historical Society. There are at least two documents in that file (which does include pamphlets and organizational materials from each and every organization I belonged to and some -- like the Weathermen -- which I did not) that are carbons of my own reports back to the secret party leadership of PLP on our activities, including a detailed inventory of collected arms. I have xeroxes of these documents in my own files. My public party contact (who was largely, and naturally, out of the loop on the doings of our secret cell toward the end of our activities) is still alive and, like the author of this screed, an unrepentant Marxist. I know because I reached out to him a few years back and he refused to talk to me seeing as how I had, in his worldview, "gone over to the enemy."
In any case, the "Unrepentant Marxist's" charge that I was an FBI provocateur is absolutely false. I was who I said I was, to my undying shame and reported to no one except the secret party leadership who recruited me. Radishes cannot pretend to understand the doings of killer tomatoes. They come from a different part of the collectivist intellectual vegetable patch.

Yes. Well, I discovered yesterday afternoon that Dr. Johnson was entirely correct. The results of my latest liver scan came back. Boil it all down and the odds are that I will belong to the vagaries of history in six months, perhaps more, perhaps less. And as the good doctor said, nothing concentrates the mind so wonderfully. My priorities now are vastly pared down and I am jettisoning much that is now extraneous. I must, in the time remaining, get this wreck of a home in some sort of order for Rosey to live in, which means having the jungle that has grown up around it hacked down, the back deck partially torn off and rebuilt in smaller form, the removal of our above ground wreck of a swimming pool, repair of the back wall where the upper deck meets the house so squirrels will no longer inhabit the floor inside, replacement of the roof (Rosey has taken a loan from her 401K to cover that) and the cleaning of the gutters.
Next priority is to finish Absolved and two other manuscripts so that she has some sort of income stream.
In the process, I must hoe out, organize and donate my private papers to the Birmingham Public Library archives.
All of this means that the blog, among other things, is going to be substantially different in a way that you will notice, so I'm telling you up front why that is so.
Please keep Rosey and my family in your prayers. I beat the odds of my first cancer diagnosis for five years through the grace of God, who evidently wasn't done with me yet. In those five years, we broke the Fast and Furious scandal story, grew the idea known as the Three Percent and weaponized it in best 4th Generation Warfare fashion, built up the armed civil disobedience movement to the post-Sandy Hook laws, and generally became a thorn in the side of the empire. I tried not to waste the time that God granted me, and in truth I could not have accomplished any of it without the help of you, my faithful readers and supporters. Why Bunkerville was so right and Burns is so wrong.
A brief statement on the situation in Burns, OR.
I am not against armed intervention and civil disobedience by citizens to address grievous wrongs perpetrated by government at any level. Over the years I have organized and/or participated in a number of “armed“interventions to tell one level of government or another that they could not do a certain thing. I supported what happened at Bunkerville because of the clear, undeniable evil and malice that was present there. A small ranching family surrounded by dozens of hired killers, military style equipment being brought to bear, snipers aiming rifles at women, and the killing and maiming of cattle. The right and wrong of the situation was not bound up in common law mumbo-jumbo or saddle seat dissertations on the intent of the founders. It was so startlingly clear in its malignance and arrogance that it compelled the reaction that culminated in the panicked rout of the Fed's hired killers. The acceptance of the action by most of the country was based far more on the clear repudiation of the pending murder raid, than an active support of Bundy’s claims, the overall land use issues or any deep understanding of Constitutional law. It is also my belief, that the efforts were successful because of its righteousness. It was a clear case of good vs. evil; it was blessed by heaven.
Here is my thinking on Burns/Hammond situation, and why Burns is not Bunkerville.
The Bundy’s have a legitimate claim that they have had grazing rights all the way back to before there was a BLM and that they should be grandfathered on many of the crucial points of contention. The immediate cause of the problem at Bundy's was the contention that the man should give up a chunk of his business in order to protect a turtle.
Not so in the Hammond Case. I have seen no evidence that the Hammonds had ever contested BLM jurisdiction until they got in trouble over the fires.
Bundy was accused of not paying grazing fees for the use of the land, while true, he did say he would pay the county, as the land belongs to them and not the Feds.
The Hammonds were convicted (rightly or wrongly, is not relevant to this section) of arson, sentenced and served their appointed time. The Feds appealed the judge’s decision to go light on the sentences and invoked the terror laws to implement minimum sentencing.
The Bundy’s were facing an immediate threat to life and limb. There is no indication that the Hammonds faced any sort of physical threat.
When one moves into the realm of armed intervention there must be a clear reason for the armed intervention. All claims about being peaceful made with a gun in your hand clearly communicate that your peaceful intentions are predicated on your opposition not crossing some line that you have established. The weapon is a threat not to cross that line. Ask yourself, "Does this case warrant the use of armed intervention?" Even the Hammonds say, "No". Remember that the Hammonds said, "NO!"
The position that this is the wrong place for this type of action is bolstered by the fact that most of the local Militias and regional organizations respected the Hammond's wishes and left or stayed to run a peaceful rally. The certainty that even those who are doing this thing knew it was wrong is supported by the fact that they did not coordinate this with any of the local groups or regional associations but have, in fact, acted unilaterally. I don’t think it is unfair to surmise that the reason for this lack of coordination was their understanding that the groups would not have supported them. I wonder if ego has not overridden good sense here. Everyone came to rescue a man who would not be rescued. Unable to deal with that rejection, I wonder if this was not an attempt to “save face” or perhaps assure themselves that they are still relevant.
The siege at Bunkerville was a marvelous event. The final act was glorious to watch. It must have been hard for the participants to contain their feelings as the Fed killers beat a panicked retreat from the assemblage of determined Americans. It was a life changing event for many who were there. And, therein, may lay a problem. I have some experience with a veteran of the Bunkerville Stand-off and for him it is the seminal event of not only his life, but for all of the Patriot movement, past present and future. He spews forth contempt and profanity laden explosions of vicious desperation on any who were not at the Nevada confrontation. It was the event that transformed him. A time when he was greater than he had ever been before, serving a cause, selflessly, that was way bigger than himself. He is justified in much of his appreciation of his efforts, as so many have never found the courage to make that stand. But it has not made him a better man or patriot. He seems intent on finding again that feeling of victory that Bundy put into his heart. Growing ever angrier that another opportunity has not materialized to put him back into that heady atmosphere of shared danger for a noble cause, he has withdrawn and attacks all other Patriots who do not share his desperate need to recreate the Great Bundy Siege. He does not realize that situations as clear as the Bundy Stand-off CANNOT be manufactured for the satisfaction of the participants. Any attempt to create the situation will fail, as it has in Burns. For them Bunkerville is the only event of defiance to tyranny. However to those like me, who is in his fifth decade of resistance, Bunkerville was just one incident, albeit a truly magnificent one, but still just one of dozens of incidences over those decades that have helped to resurrect and nurture this spirit of resistance now coming to full bloom in the land .
I believe that the actions at Burns have been ill considered, ill-advised and disastrously implemented. It makes no sense to most in our movement and will make far less to John Q. Public. Its timing is so damn bad that one has to wonder if a federally controlled person inside that group has not manipulated this to happen right before our Usurper-in-Chief is set to begin a real war on guns.
All of that said, we must make sure all understand that as ill-advised as this was, it is no worse in its effect than any of the Occupy protests of a couple of years ago. I’m betting it will not be anywhere near as destructive to the facility as the Occupy folks were at every location they protested. Let's make sure that our elected officials understand that we expect the same amount of patience and restraint granted to these protesters as was given to those Occupy freaks. We must not allow this foolishness to divide a movement that has struggled for unity. We must no longer tolerate the loudmouths who advocate precipitous actions that pay no benefit to the cause of Restoration of the Republic. This may make Ammon and the others feel good, but I fear its cost to the movement may be staggering.

If things blow up in Oregon, things could quickly get out of control everywhere, and while we can only imagine what that will look like, the certainty is things would be ugly and prolonged. The government will act and affected people who will not comply will react. It’s an incredibly dangerous situation, where a shot, whether intentional or an “accidental” discharge — and it may not even matter which “side” fires it — could be the “Time’s up” spark that changes all the rules.

In 1996, common criminals calling themselves "the Montana Freemen," victimized their own neighbors in the community with fake liens and bank fraud. Eventually, the Federal authorities became involved and laid siege to their community. At the time, in the aftermath of Waco and Ruby Ridge, the FBI was very concerned that members of the constitutional militia movement might come to their aid.
They approached the leadership of these formations, trying to determine what our intentions were should the situation "go south," turning into another Waco. As part of this effort, the FBI Special Agent in Charge of the Albuquerque New Mexico office journeyed downstate to visit Bob Wright, than (as now) commander of the 1st Brigade, New Mexico Militia. "Bob," he asked, "would you really take your unit up to Montana to protect them?"
Bob looked him in the eye and said, "Why would I want to do that? There's plenty of you federal sonsabitches around here."
Our point was, then as it is now, that as much as we disagreed with the people in the compound, we believed that the Federal government had an absolute duty to respect their due process rights and to do what was necessary to end the situation without killing them. Bob's rejoinder made it clear that if it did turn into another Waco, that there would be a NATIONAL response and that we would fight in our own areas of operation where we were strongest. What Bob was trying to communicate was that we were prisoners of our own principles. We had sworn after the immolation of the Davidians that there would be "no more free Wacos." That if the Feds began killing citizens without legal recourse that they would pay a price in blood for it. Indeed, if there is one principle that everyone in the liberty movement, such as it is, agrees upon it is that. Since then, we have sent that message in a number of ways including "No More Free Wacos: An Explication of the Obvious Addressed to Eric Holder, Attorney General of the United States" in 2009. I also made this a central tenet of the Three Percent Catechism.
Among the other principles is no first use of force. We call this, "No Fort Sumters." To do so would be to surrender the moral high ground. The Founders understood that. Indeed, even the people who responded to the righteous cause of the Bundys at the time of the standoff there understood it. Yet now we have a situation contrived by some of the same people who first showed their true colors in the aftermath of that confrontation throwing this crucial tenet into the garbage can. I refer the reader to my article of yesterday, "Perfect timing for the regime. Federal provocateurs, sociopaths and idiots with a John Brown complex are writing checks that they expect the rest of us to cash in our blood," and to the statement of the Oregon Three Percent organization whose march was exploited by Ammon Bundy and his supporters to achieve the takeover.
I hasten to add that this tactic is straight out of the communist provocateur's handbook. I know since as a former member of the Maoist Progressive Labor Party, we used to do the same thing to peaceful anti-war marches. Like wise, today's black flag street "anarchists" do the same thing all across the world. The point of the tactic is to take the violence up several notches, goad the government forces into responding and radicalize others who are subsequently beaten and tear gassed. It is a tactic older than Karl Marx.
And yet, as wrong-headed and suspect as are the actions and the motives of the few people who are currently holed up in the Fish and Wildlife Service office (and they are far fewer than is claimed), the rest of us are still prisoners of our own enunciated principles. Bundy and the others (including several people whom are widely suspected of being federal provocateurs) have indeed written a check that they expect the rest of us to cash in our own blood in a ghastly civil war. Yet we cannot allow the federal government to take advantage of this perfect propaganda opportunity that they have apparently spent such effort contriving and use deadly force on the occupiers without response. As at the time of the Freemen standoff, we must get across the message to the Feds that if they do so, there will be a national response in those local areas of operations where we are strongest, politically and militarily. Frankly, this is a plea for any adults in the room in DC to intervene and use caution before this blows up in all of our faces.
As to the personalities involved, I can say this from personal experience on the ground at the time of the original Bundy confrontation. The sociopathic weasel (and likely fed provocateur) Ryan Payne insinuated himself into the Bundy family by going to church with them and promising to convert to their brand of the LDS church. Whether he actually did or not is unknown to me, but I was told by Bundy himself that this was the reason that they trusted him and took him into their personal defense detail, much as Cleopatra clasped the asp to her own bosom.
In addition, I am informed by someone on the ground out there that Ammon Bundy believes that it is his mission "to make the refuge into some sort of New Jerusalem." The parallels between Ammon and John Brown grow creepier by the minute. Others apparently view this as an opportunity for "suicide by Fed," acting out whatever private demons they have pursuing them.
Boil all of this down and this is what we have left as our own demands, our own declaration, if you will:
1. Put the Feds on notice that as much as we disagree with the actions of these people, that the government has an absolute duty to see that the situation ends without violence. In the case of the Freemen, that took 81 days and involved outside negotiators (at least one of whom, Kirk Lyons, was a federal informant).
2. We must get across to the Feds that if they do not end this peacefully, if they go for a dynamic raid that gets people killed, that they will start a national conflagration that will be fought using the principles of Fourth Generation Warfare as adapted to an American civil war. War makers and decision takers, and not just SRT thugs, will put their own lives on the line in any conflict they start. No more free Wacos. Period.
3. We must insist that some outside negotiators try to work out a compromise between the occupiers and the authorities to facilitate a peaceful end to the standoff. (Of course this time it would be preferable if none of those negotiators was a federal snitch.)
4. We must declare that the Founders always looked upon the armed citizenry as the ultimate guarantors of liberty and safety and that by making these demands we are entirely consistent with their vision of a constitutional republic of limited powers and the rule of law.
We are prisoners of our principles, as originally enunciated by them. As much as we disagree with the occupiers and whatever motives they have, we cannot do otherwise. No more free Wacos.

Rather, get ready to fight in your own AOs, where you are strongest. If the occupiers are successful in their yearning for suicide by fed, the fight will in very short order come to you, as it will come to us all. Get ready. And do not neglect using every political lever open to influence everyone from the local sheriff and town councilmen to your congresscritters to exert every pressure on the regime to negotiate a peaceful end to this insanity.

On January 2, 2016, various patriot organizations under the direction of the Oregon 3% and associated groups organized a peaceful rally in Burns, Oregon in a show of support for the Hammonds Family and the community of Harney County. The immediate aims of this peaceful protest were to voice dissent of the wrongful prosecution of the Hammonds, the family’s subsequent decision to report to prison for federal charges, and for the refusal of the Sherriff to protect and support the citizens of Harney County. Following the peaceful protest, members of militias and individuals voiced their decision to “take a hard stand” which would be to seize a Federal National Wildlife Refuge building in Malheur County, and succeeded in doing so.Unbeknownst to the Idaho 3%, Oregon 3%, it’s leaders, associations, rally participants, or the citizens of Harney County; these actions were premeditated and carried out by a small group of persons who chose to carry out this takeover after the rally. The 3% of Idaho, 3% of Oregon, The Oregon Constitutional Guard, and PPN organizations in no way condone nor support these actions. Authorities have not yet commented on the occupation but Zaitz reports that Oregon State Police, the Harney County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI are involved in the developing situation.

BURNS — An unknown number of militia have broken into and are occupying the headquarters building of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge south of here. A government official speaking on background Saturday said initial reports had the militia entering a building that was closed for the holiday. He said they apparently brought support trailers with them. Law enforcement officials couldn't be immediately reached for comment.Brandon Curtiss, an Idaho militia leader who helped organize a protest parade Saturday, told The Oregonian/OregonLive he knew nothing of the occupation. He said he has been told that Ammon Bundy, the son of Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy, is one of the occupiers. "This has nothing to do with us," said Curtiss, who had been attending a post-parade gathering at the Harney County Fairgrounds with many of the militia members who participated. The wildlife refuge is about 50 miles southeast of Burns.Ryan Payne, a U.S. Army veteran from Montana, confirmed that he is among the those occupying the refuge headquarters but refused to provide details. He said additional information will be released to militia media outlets. Members from Oregon, Idaho and elsewhere had converged on this ranching town in recent weeks to make the federal government the target of their anger. They came to protest and perhaps even block the imprisonment of Dwight Hammond Jr. and his son Steven, local ranchers convicted of arson.With their side arms and sometimes hot talk, militia members had unsettled the community, creating fears that Saturday's rally would involve more than speeches, flags and marching. . .
I was first apprised of this a few minutes ago by folks on the ground out in Oregon. They report that Payne, Ritzheimer and every other "tiger-talking" fruit, nut and federal provocateur previously identified from the Bundy standoff were now in possession of the building and daring the Feds to do anything about it. My initial reaction was to observe that at least afterward we'll know who the federal snitches are because they will be the only ones who survive the raid to take back the building. My understanding is that this premeditated action has been condemned by the Oregon Three Percenters and other groups but the fact of the matter is that these people are writing checks that they expect the rest of us to cash in our blood. And the Hammonds themselves are disavowing this action in the strongest terms.
For the regime, this could not come at a better time. The old Roman adage "cui bono" applies here. There is nothing on the talking heads channels as yet, but by Monday, when Obama meets with his Attorney General on the subject of citizen disarmament, you can bet the farm that this will play right into that narrative. Perfect timing. You've got to give the federal handlers of these pukes credit. This is precisely the sort of offensive action on the part of the "militia terrorists" that they needed.

Among those joining Bundy in the occupation are Ryan Payne, U.S. Army veteran, and Blaine Cooper. Payne has claimed to have helped organize militia snipers to target federal agents in a standoff last year in Nevada. He told one news organization the federal agents would have been killed had they made the wrong move. He has been a steady presence in Burns in recent weeks, questioning people who were critical of the militia's presence. He typically had a holstered sidearm as he moved around the community. At a community meeting in Burns Friday, Payne disavowed any ill intentions.

Judicial outrage. Well, the black-robed mafia is at it again.
"Federal judge: Drinking tea, shopping at a gardening store is probable cause for a SWAT raid on your home."
Last week, U.S. District Court Judge John W. Lungstrum dismissed every one of the Hartes’s claims. Lungstrum found that sending a SWAT team into a home first thing in the morning based on no more than a positive field test and spotting a suspect at a gardening store was not a violation of the Fourth Amendment. He found that the police had probable cause for the search, and that the way the search was conducted did not constitute excessive force. He found that the Hartes had not been defamed by the raid or by the publicity surrounding it. He also ruled that the police were under no obligation to know that drug testing field kits are inaccurate, nor were they obligated to wait for the more accurate lab tests before conducting the SWAT raid. The only way they’d have a claim would be if they could show that the police lied about the results, deliberately manipulated the tests or showed a reckless disregard for the truth — and he ruled that the Hartes had failed to do so.
Oath Keepers: "The Hammond Family Does NOT Want an Armed Stand Off, and Nobody Has a Right to Force One On Them."

"I regret having to even make this statement, but I have no choice, since Ammon Bundy has not made it sufficiently clear to the patriot community that the Hammond family has declined physical armed help, and by all indications does NOT want any kind of armed stand off with the Federal government, and they do NOT want anyone to attempt to protect Dwight and Steven Hammond from being taken into Federal custody on Monday, January 4, 2016 when they are scheduled to turn themselves in to serve additional time for their felony convictions (which came after a jury found them guilty). They intend to voluntarily turn themselves in and serve out the remainder of their sentence, under federal minimum sentencing statutes, after losing in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals on that issue. In fact, they have made it very clear, through a public statement by their lawyer, in a letter to the Sheriff dated December 11, 2015, that:"'Neither Ammon Bundy nor anyone in his group/organization speaks for the Hammond Family, Dwight Hammond or Steven Hammond. In addition, I wish to report to you that, as recently ordered by the District Court, District of Oregon, Dwight Hammond and Steven Hammond intend to voluntarily report to the designated federal facility on January 4, 2016, as required.'
The the Hammonds are the victims of a monstrous federal overreach of power is beyond dispute. That opportunists are using their predicament to advance their own agendas (such as the sociopath and pathological liar Ryan Payne) is also beyond dispute. I've had my differences with Stewart Rhodes over the years, but in this case the Hammonds, as least as we can tell, have decided not to force a confrontation that others appear to be determined to have in their name.

So wait a minute. In 2011, this guy threatens Jones, and then FOUR YEARS LATER he gets shot by a deputy in Oregon after killing some other poor guy who was 79 years old? How is this gunfight with cops in Oregon an assassination attempt on Alex Jones in Austin, Texas?And from this, Alex Jones says on the air that "Literally a police officer was killed in California trying to protect me..." ?Sorry, Jones. The two events are entirely unrelated. They're not even in the same region of the country. If your "assassin" was trying to kill you by shooting some poor senior citizen in Oregon -- almost 2000 miles away -- then he's not a very good assassin. And yeah, Brian Williams wasn't in that helicopter that got hit by an RPG... and Hillary didn't land under sniper fire, either.
Now, first of all I would like to stand in resolute defense of honest "morons and retards" everywhere, any one of whom shows more intellectual honesty and acumen than Alex Jones and his truest of true believers. With everything being an easily-debunked "false flag" in Jones' world, it was only a matter of time until he got around to false claims of assassination plots on himself. It's all about the Benjamins, boys and girls, and if AJ didn't exist as a mercenary useful idiot, the Feds would need to invent someone like him to discredit the rest of us with serious liberty activists who otherwise would be disposed to support our side. I can hear the howls from his true believers already, but that is my own personal experience with the man for the past 20 years.

One big problem with the Warrior—as comfortable as it is—it's not really built for post-9/11 modern warfare. Reliable, sure, but it has none of the features that modern tactical vehicles now come equipped with, such as bullet-resistant windows, bullet-proof walls, and an undercarriage that can withstand the directional blast of improvised explosive devices. It is also visibly smaller than the Humvee, and will be more difficult to upgrade with armored kits as the Humvee was. That's fine if the vehicle is confined to base driving and the occasional exercise, but will be a severe drawback in actual combat. The PLA expects the base chassis to be upgraded to provide "all kinds" of special vehicles. Possible variants could include a headquarters vehicle, ambulance, electronic warfare vehicle, anti-tank missile carrier, and air-defense missile carrier. But all the PLA has really got so far is pretty much a cushy SUV.
