"This morning, citizen journalist Mike Vanderboegh will be asking questions to include if NRA knows anything about a 'sporting use' tweak."

Dave's article is missing one key principal.
"Shall not infringe"
Just where in any superceding "law" do these ATF jackasses have any authority to ban anything? That should be the first and primary argument made to any weasel politician, weasel NRA puke, or any (future weasel) wannabe Presidental candidate. Don't get me started on ILLEGALs in the country.

I'll read it when Examiner gets rid of those awful pop up ads. They are terrible.

But "tweaking" is what congress does. ATF regs are clarity personified compared to the federal tax code.

Then they campaign against "loopholes" that were somehow created by the "loophole fairy" while congress was otherwise occupied.

If ATF is allowed to create this "framework", and then allowed to fill in said "framework" with more pages of squishy regulations, one could safely bet the farm that the results would not enhance things for gun owners or the nation as a whole.

From "Atlas Shrugged":

“Did you really think that we want those laws to be observed?” said Dr. Ferris. “We want them broken. You’d better get it straight that it’s not a bunch of boy scouts you’re up against—then you’ll know that this is not the age for beautiful gestures. We’re after power and we mean it. You fellows were pikers, but we know the real trick, and you’d better get wise to it. There’s no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren’t enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. Who wants a nation of law-abiding citizens? What’s there it that for anyone? But just pass the kind of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced nor objectively interpreted—and you create a nation of lawbreakers—and then you cash in on guilt. Now that’s the system, Mr. Rearden, that’s the game, and once you understand it, you’ll be much easier to deal with.”

I came close to joining the NRA. I'm glad I didn't. They're just like the Republicans... pretending to be on your side but quietly supporting those the plot against you. Screw the NRA, I'll put my backing behind Gun Owners of America.

Dept of Navy Letter regarding 2014 Minnesota Military Exercise is very revealing!

Military exercise that took place in Minneapolis in 2014 was a joint collaboration between Navy Special Forces and Local Police SWAT team. A letter released by Minneapolis Mayor Hodges indicates that this training was for domestic purposes! I find that the timing of this release of info is rather suspicious considering the Jade Helm Exercise is on the horizon. Was this Mayor asked by the military to release this letter ??? Hmm makes me wonder.

@sdv1949
This depends on your browser. Tis is for windows 7 or 8.

Go to tools on your browser, select internet options,
Select security from the tabs at the top.
Select custom level.
Scroll down to near the bottom of the list and look for scripting.
Change active scripting from enable to disable or prompt.
Close browser and reopen it.
You wont have the irritating popups or videos or scrolling ads across the screen any more.
This turns off javascript so any app that uses java script wont work but most web pages will load immediately and without ads.

@Sdv1949--If you are using most browsers. get AdBlock Plus. It gets rid of nearly all ads, pop up and otherwise. You decide what. if any, ads you see.

LOL....the flip-flopping Ben Carson.....he's NO FRIEND of the 2A people. Wake up! Search his stance on the 2A and you'll see he's all for regulating "assault weapons" and any weapon near a metro area.
