Am I the only one who believes that the guy who deserts in the face of the enemy gets what he deserves? I mean, if this guy didn't commit a shooting offense, we need to apologize to the ghost of Eddie Slovik.

I spoke Monday with a highly decorated former Special Forces operator and asked what he thought about Bowe Bergdahl, the Army sergeant who was released over the weekend after five years of Taliban captivity in exchange for five hard cases out of Gitmo. The former operator suggested a firing squad might be appropriate. His view is widely shared in the community of warriors who risked—and, in at least six cases, lost—their lives searching for a soldier who wrote his parents that "the horror that is america is disgusting" before vanishing from his post in Afghanistan in 2009.

From all that I have read on the issue, it appears the sycophants surrounding Obama, wanted to feed his narcissism with a major coup. They felt Obama would receive the accolades that Reagan received on January 20, 1981, with the release of the Iranian hostages. This was a gross misjudgement, that always happens in a closed society, like exists in the current White House. The outrage over the Sgt. Bergdahl scandal is even bigger than the media is portraying. Like other patriots, I am awaiting the watered down, spineless response from the Republicans. If the "Lawless One" gets away with this, lock and load and bolt the doors.

As one who has always felt our intrusion into the Middle East was ill-advised (the kindest description I have for it), I'm forced to ask:
How much of an "enemy" are they if they didn't even rate a declaration of war?

Bergdahl is getting promoted to Staff Sergeant next month. Who knew the Taliban NCOES counts as promotion points?
You know, for an administration that likes to tell me how much smarter they are than I, they do some amazingly stupid things. If one were to think about it, you might draw the conclusion that no one is that stupid and hence they are screwing up on purpose.
Obama is just "paying it forward" because some day his taliban brothers may have to come and try to rescue his treasonous ass.
