Don't worry .. the rejected ones can always join the FBI, DHS, or local police departments. This figure I think (the 2/3rds) has not changed v. much over the recent years. During Vietnam, everyone was fine...

Stick em in the "pork chop platoon" and PT them until their assh0;es are sucking buttermilk! Rinse. Repeat.

Hi Mike,
Like any-mouse said,"During Viet Nam everyone was fine." I enlisted in the Navy in Dec of '66. Down at the processing station, the Army took one Blind Guy even though his seeing eye dog had a flat foot!!

This article isn't a surprise. Why would anyone want to go do the dirty work and get blown up for the current administration, except for maybe the very bottom of the social-economic scale that doesn't know better?

There's better money to be made out there, and better training to be had out there from open source and private entities these days, that tethering one's self to an executive that is anathema to american values and trapped in 2nd gen mindset is a poor decision.

Hey Anon at 3:03,

I am one of those people whom has spent many years in the Army doing the jobs that other Americans asked us to do. I am neither uneducated nor am I from the lowest rung on the socio-economic ladder. To the contrary, it is proven that members of the military tend to be more educated and from much higher up on the ladder than you. No one is conscripted and you have to fight to stay in.

Your comment is elitest, myopic, and smacks of jealousy. I would invite you to go see your local recruiter and go complete a couple of years in the Guard or Reserves. When you are done, then you get the right to try and tell me how much better you are.

Don't worry. I'll wait.

Oh so only those who were in the military "get the right" eh? Elitist you say?

Got projection?

Listen up, FuckStick. Everyone has the right to speak their peace, or their piece. It's a NATURAL right, inherent within each one of us, Endowed upon us all by our Creator, most certainly not granted to the few who served in the military by the commander in chief.

I call bullshit on your post - to the effect that a soldier you are NOT. You see, true defenders of freedom would say they will defend a persons right - even when they are wrong. Maybe someday you will understand what that actually means.

I think I made her mad. I would not expect you to be able to reflect on what you have done, what with your 12 whole years on this earth, but perhaps with a bit of reflection you will see how shameful your was.

Oh so only those who were in the military "get the right" - In a word, yes. Walking the walk gives me the right to talk the talk. While I was eating sand you were doing nothing. I showed up, you did not. Furthermore, I don’t think that you understand what projection means.

As a Tween, you can no more counsel me on what it is to be a Soldier than what it feels like to love or make love. The CoC did not ask me to do anything. Your parents and your parents friends did. Take it up with them. Your spoon fed, Twitter-verse world view is in 140 characters or less, and trust me when I say, it is not impressing anyone. Go get some hair on those nuts, get off the couch, and go do something with your life. Then we can talk as equals.

Seriously, Bruh. Fat, dumb and stupid are no way to go through life.
