I don't believe these two were "white supremacist". I think they felt the government were turning in to Nazis. The swastika left on the cop was a label, not a calling card.
Jarrod Miller's dope dealing led to trouble with the law (the enforcement arm of the government), and most likely hardened his anti government/authority views.
We read and hear all over the Internet how the government and police are preparing for a fight with the American people. This couple believed it and, in their view, they decided to became proactive. The closer government pushes for civil war, the more of these incidents there will be. The tensions will escalate. The Millers considered their cop shootings the "start of the revolution", it is more likely one more incident to reinforce the police view that "citizens" are the enemy.
