Collectivist gun grabbers fall in line behind the White House and are vewy, vewy quiet.

"Shhh! Be vewy, vewy quiet. I'm hunting wabbits."
"How the White House silenced gun control groups."
President Barack Obama’s gun control agenda is looking more doomed by the day, but gun control advocates still haven’t said a word to complain.
That’s no accident.
The White House knew its post-Newtown effort would require bringing key gun-control groups into the fold. So the White House offered a simple arrangement: the groups could have access and involvement, but they’d have to offer silence and support in exchange.
The implied rules, according to conversations with many of those involved: No infighting. No second guessing in the press. Support whatever the president and Vice President Joe Biden propose. And most of all, don’t make waves or get ahead of the White House.
In exchange: a voice in the discussions, a role in whatever final agreement is made and weekly meetings at the White House with Biden’s chief of staff, Bruce Reed — provided they don’t discuss what happens there.
“The implication is very, very strong when they are calling these meetings and we are all sitting there,” said one regular attendee, who like the others, would only speak about them anonymously. “It’s not like they’re being bullies, it’s them bringing everybody together, not being one-off meetings with groups that might be interested in things other than the bottom line, not providing the forum for that kind of stuff.”
“You’re glad to be in the room,” another participant in the Reed meetings said. “Because this issue has been dead for a long time and now there’s a real opportunity there.”

Yep, the Elmer Fudds in the Senate like John Cornyn of Texas who doesn't think the second amendment is for a guard against tyrany, will very likely compromise, but will demand - yes, demand, I tell you - that our right to hunt is not infringed.

Unfortunately, I have the same Elmer Fudd as my rep. in the Texas house, Rep. Bill Callegari, that assures me that he is an avid hunter, blah blah blah, but refuses to support HB 553 that would call for the arrest and imprisonment of any LEO (state and federal) that tried to enforce any further gun restrictions.

Guess we'll have to enforce our freedom ourselves. I have no problem doing just that.

Just yesterday this notion was on display for all to see. The gun control group in the spotlight? The NRA alongside the ISRA. Very bluntly stated, Constitutional carry is the punishment coming the second week in June unless the NRA and ISRA backed increased gun control is adopted and signed into law keeping intact Illinois criminal code.

Yup, you read that right. Unless the "most restrictive shall issue bill in the country" ( so says the bills sponsor Brandon Phelps-(D)) is accepted, complete with another permit to go along with the current permit one must have simply to possess even one cartridge much less firearms, that will cost hundreds of dollars, require people to waive HIPPA (4th amendment) protections and even require proficiency demonstrations to "qualify", then the the punisent will be Constitutional carry.

The NRA lobbyist talked about how "our" side didn't even have to offer legislation but did to be "reasonable". Yup, you read that right. We have a date set for Constitutional Carry -ordered by a court after 180 days- and the NRA is being reasonable posing its own complicated costly and rights infringing prequalifi actions in attempt to be "reasonable".

Last year if the NRA would have gotten the legislation it pushed then the 7th circuit decision admitting that people have a RIGHT to carry a LOADED firearm would not have come to pass. The MEANS to avoid that admission would have been provided to Illinois BY the NRA. That asinine debacle was avoided by just a few votes. And every Citizen in this country is better off for that failure.

Part of the standing down strategy by this White House regarding the regulars like Joyce, the Brady bunch etc is to have the supposed rights groups do the gun controlling groups dirty work under the guise of being "reasonable". They have the ISRA, the NRA, Illinois Carry, gunssavelife, and the Republican Party doing everything they can to fight AGAINST Constitutional Carry that is set to hit Illinois absent ANY action by the legislature. Who needs enemies with "friends" like this.

Who needs in your face gun grabbing lobbying when the supposed gun rights lobby is arguing openly against simple exercise of rights absent bought, paid for and qualified government issued permission slips?

Folks all over the country should contact the NRA and ask them why they are actively working FOR gun control legislation and working AGAINST the ticking clock of the 7th circuit decision. Folks should ask the NRA why it's openly and actively trying to stop Constitutional carry - the endgame that constitutes winning the fight they claim to be leaders of. Folks should ask the NRA if this is what they bought memberships to support.

A Constitutional Carry win here in Obamaland, in the heart of gun control land where there exists the last total ban on carrying, would send a tidal wave washing away gun rights infringements all across this country.

Everyone across this nation should press the NRA to stop TRYING to lose a fight that's won if that organization would stop pushing its current gun control legislation and start standing and fighting like the national message claims. Maybe the message to stand and fight is really one of fighting FOR gun control- it sure looks that way here in Illinois when a person simply takes note of what the NRA is actually DOING.

Tell the NRA to stop supporting gun control legislation. Tell the NRA that NO legislation is needed and that it must end its open opposition to Constitutional Carry - or risk it doing in your state what it is doing in Illinos- democrat gun controls bidding!

The idiots still don't get it.. we don't care what illegal laws they pass anymore.. they have nullified their authority with their own actions and declarations against us.. there will be no surrender of arms, no confiscations, no treaties of convenience.. they have turned the worm themselves and placed this nation on a one way road.. no one from this point forward in American history will ever accept any further gun laws, restrictions or regulations from anyone.. we might even begin rolling back the ones we have now just by force of will, no matter what.. we cant afford to, they will kill us all and we know it.

Yank III,
Wholeheartedly agree...They made the Constitution irrelevent. They hate having rules governing society.
If they pass anything, we go full auto...the weapon in common use.
And my M24 begins restoring the Republic; head by head.
Hit, run, hide, hit....wash rinse, repeat.
