Strategic dispersal of production to avoid enemy legislative bombers. "Colorado now ‘occupied territory’ and Magpul is leaving."
So reports Dave Workman.
Here's the Denver Post story.
The owner of Colorado's largest producer of ammunition magazines, Erie-based Magpul, already has plans to leave the state because of the bill's passing.
"Our moving efforts are underway. It's going to be a phased approach, and until the move is complete, we're going to continue manufacturing magazines in Colorado," said Doug Smith, Magpul's chief operating officer. "Within the next 30-days we will manufacture our first magazine outside the state of Colorado."
Smith noted that he will meet with economic developers from Nebraska, Texas and Wyoming in the coming weeks and the company is likely to have multiple locations in the future.
"This ordeal has taught us to be more diverse geographically," Smith said.
Magpul officials have said the move will cost hundreds of jobs and upward of $85 million in potential spending this year.

I'll order a few Magpul mags when they can confirm that not one employee or asset remains in Colorado.
Colorado cuts off its nose to spite its face... The dems own it now. It is CLEAR that democrats in charge result in gun grabbing, even if a very few remain loyal to the cause. We cannot vote for them, because their party, when in charge screws us. so screw them
VIVA MAGPUL
Good for Magpul. The made it clear to the Colorado statists what the result of their actions would be. Job loss, revenue loss and one less firm to employ those interested in working for a living.
Now we need to see Beretta pull out of MD, Springfield out of IL and Remington out of NY. Establish a "cause and effect" that voters can act on, especially if there are job losses due to political actions.
The Outdoor Channel, which produces several of its shows in Colorado, has also announced that it is leaving Colorado because of those gun control laws. Lets give three "huzzahs" for the Outdoor Channel.

I will add one more descriptor to "The Immutable Law of Unintended Consequences" and that would be "Unrepealable".
Colorado statist politicians and those citizens and serfs who have decided to stay have just been gob smacked by all of the above. Good luck, suckas.

I applaud Magpul (The owner, management team) for the courage of their convictions. I pray for success that exceeds the wildest expectations in their new multi-state operation.

Since the slaves in Colorado no longer have permission to own high capacity (evil) magazines; there will be more for the resto of us.
And could they please, please, PLEASE ramp up production of mags a bit more?
