Romney campaign flag.
Coulter holds nose and annoints Romney.
The mainstream media keep pushing alternatives to Mitt Romney not only because they are terrified of running against him, but also because they want to keep Republicans fighting, allowing Democrats to get a four-month jump on us.
Meanwhile, everyone knows the nominee is going to be Romney.
That's not so bad if you think the most important issues in this election are defeating Obama and repealing Obamacare.
The "mainstream media" are not "pushing alternatives to Mitt Romney." The polls of voters desperate to avoid him are.
This is the same logic that got us Bob Dole and John McCain -- candidates picked by the GOP elite. In Dole's case for the ridiculous reason that it was "his turn."
I'll tell you what "everyone knows" in my neck of the woods. If "Ole Windsock" Romney is the nominee then the GOP will have to contend with a third party. The SOB is stuck at 25% in the polls for a reason, and if the elites (which apparently include Coulter) ram him down the Tea Parties' throats then they will frigging lose with a split vote.
What will that do for the chances of "defeating Obama and repealing Obamacare"?
The thing these people fail to understand is that their entire regime of corrupt two-party oligarchy has been delegitimized by events. The Tea Parties started spontaneously because the GOP elites had failed them. Now the elites want them trust 'em once more?
As I pointed out here "The power to destroy a thing is the absolute control over it."
We will see if Coulter likes the unintended consequences of Romney being jammed down all our throats. I doubt she will.
The crisis of legitimacy cannot be solved by electing one more corrupt and unprincipled bastard.

Got that right Mike!
Its a pickle.
Seems it has all gone so far, a paradigm is required.
I voted third party last time (for Chuck Baldwin, Constitution Party Candidate) and will this time as well if the Republitards put up anyone other than Ron Paul.
These Republican cheerleaders just don't get it.
The Party is Over.

This seems to be a forced third party moment. Last election cycle we heard all about the dangers of a third party so hold your nose and vote for McCain. This time its Romney, but we are not hearing the "no third party" mantra. I for one will not vote for Romney. What I see for now is Ron Paul as a third party canidate getting a lot of votes and four more years of 0bama.
Cruachan!
Dang. Just when I was loosing my distaste for her.
I'm with WarriorClass, if the canidates cant stand 4 square on the Constitution and Bill of Rights then f**k em, they dont get my vote.
The fruit of the tree of good and evil was said to be 'pleasant to the eyes', wasn't it?
Yeah, that's Coulter. Who wants a bite?
As I have stated before, I will NOT NOT NOT vote for Romney. Ever.
Ann Coulter is far from stupid. But, like most of the pundits out there, she is focused on winning the political game. The don't even see that a crisis of legitimacy exists or if they do they blame it on the other political party. Therefore they miss the most important factor which is that there is no solution to a crisis of legitimacy to be had by following the rules of the game that created the crisis to begin with. The chattering classes told us as much about themselves and their inability to deal with the scope of the country's real problems by their reaction to Sharron Angle's "Second Amendment Remedies".
In short, she doesn't understand that having the GOP in charge of the government cannot solve the crisis. The solution to the crisis cannot come from the government, regardless of who holds the reins of power, when the government is the cause of the crisis.
But it's not because she's stupid. It's because, like so many other Americans, she doesn't realize and/or refuses to acknowledge the existance, size and scope of the American people's growing distrust and fear of what their government has become regardless of which party is in power.
"[E]veryone knows the nominee is going to be Romney."
Better: Plutocrats such as I, Ann Coulter, have anointed The Mitten. Get over it, you Bloody Peasants.
"That's not so bad if you think the most important issues in this election are defeating Obama and repealing Obamacare."
The most important issues in this election are resizing government through dramatic budget cuts ($1 Trillion in 1 year) and restoring the Constitution. Mitt Romney will do neither; Ron Paul will do both.
MALTHUS
I agree. I will NEVER vote for Romney.
Besides, four more years of Obama would be very entertaining is we have an all republican congress.
b
I sure won't vote for that gun-grabbing bastard. I'll vote Libertarian, or write somebody in before I check Myth Romney on my ballot.
If the "vote" is to be "split" then it is the RINOs who will be responsible for it.
Establishment Republicans talk a lot about free markets. Well, the vote is the most free market left - for nobody can control who you vote for but yourself. Sure, they can limit ballot access, they can smear in media and ignore in media, but when it comes down to it, everyone is free to choose their own when they go cast their vote.
I submit that Mitten's 25% in the polls demonstrates the RINO section of Republican Party voters. That means that 75% of the Republican voters are not Mitten Supporting RINOs and that means it is those RINOs who are responsible for splitting the vote. Notice - they offer the same projection that Establishment Democrats. Partly, that is because most of the RINOs are really Democrats with an (R) behind their names.
I know this much.
There is not one declared candidate worthy of sitting behind the Resolute Desk within the Oval Office. NOT Even One.
Folks, we must hear George Washington's wisdom and thus turn away from political faction. The corruption will continue until such time as people mind their votes to this point.
It is time to deny consent. It is time to deny them our vote.
Ron Paul. Only choice for me. I will vote for Ron whether or not he is the Republican choice for CIC. I used to believe that people who did this (or didn't vote at all) were letting the system down. Not any more.
And there are rumors that Dr. Paul will run as an independent should he lose the nomination.
In any event, Romney is right out (as the Pythons would say)!
Some cite the Buckley rule, "Vote for the most conservative electable candidate." The problem is the press is a lot more left, and a lot less fair, than it was when Buckley said that. Now any Republican presidential nominee will be portrayed as an extreme right winger no matter how big a squish he or she is. Given that, going for a phony who is 'electable' is fooling yourself.
"..Besides, four more years of Obama would be very entertaining "
And no country worth a damn to live in, while asking permission from 5 different agencies, if you can take a leak, and being told no by 3 of them.
I like Paul but his attitude on foreign affairs, particularly our avowed enemies, really concerns me.
See, aggression is no longer constrained by an ocean nor are levels of force mitigated by self-interest on the part of those aggressors, they are working hand in hand, with us as the target. If you are totally defensive in this environment, you, will, lose, period.
Then there is the fact that he keeps shoving both feet in his mouth by pardoning Iran for it's aggression towards us. Those bastards have killed and assisted others in the killing of our personnel and those of our allies. I'm sorry, I will never agree to that.
He has to decide if this is what he really wants to do but I can tell you, he lost my vote right there. He lost many votes, right there. We do have enemies waiting in the wings folks.
Nothing in this statement should be construed to mean that I do not support the dismantling of FED/GOV because I am absolutely on board with that. I also want people literally hung for what they have done to this country and it's people.
Got Ron Paul?
Dr.D III
Personally, I WELCOME the Mitt-for-brains candidacy being forced upon us whether we like it or not!
See, this too will show the average sheeple in an undeniable way that we are no longer living in the free society we're always told that we inhabit!
It will PROVE that the two branches of The Government Party have taken over our putative Republic -- and thus must be taken BACK!
As for voting for him? I SWORE in '08 that I would never again hold my nose and vote "lesser of two evils." Since then, I've evolved to "if FORCED to choose the lesser of two evils, I'll choose THE GREATER. Why? At this point I am convinced that we must go through a collapse scenario to get back to our Founders' Republic.
I believe Obama will get us to the inevitable much sooner and faster than Mitt-for-brains or any other AINO/DIABLO - and hence if I cannot vote in good conscience, I'll vote Obama!
God help us -- and God Save Our Republic!!
"she doesn't realize and/or refuses to acknowledge the existance, size and scope of the American people's growing distrust and fear of what their government has become regardless of which party is in power."
So our best hope is election results showing a majority percentage for a 3rd party or write-in candidate over the 2 party twins.
No stay home and go to the range. Your time will be much better spent. Voting for any of these "choices" is counter productive. The end result is going to be the same at any rate. This all ends in the streets no matter what happens next November. In fact it may get to the streets well before that as the realization comes to the progressive and useful idiots that the system is not going to give them what they want. Either way they will be getting real violent as we approach the Fall burning season.
Save yourself the effort and keep your conscience clear, dont vote.
Grenadier1
Voting for a third party will elect Obama to a second term
Back your guy all you can through the primary.
We can live through ANY President for 4 years. We can not live (with freedom) through a Supreme Court controlled by liberals for 30+ years.
2 more Supreme Court Judges will be replaced by the next president.
Vote at your own peril.
I love ann, but she is stuck in the belief that our problems can be resolved "politically", and by electing the right people.
We are FAR past that point.
I THINK that Newt understands better, but really, I don't think HE fully apprehends the situation.
I think Ogabe will be re-elected, because whoever the Republican nominee is, Ron Paul will run third party.
Without a third party challenge, Romney would STILL lose next year.
I do not see this getting better, before it gets VERY bad.

Abandoning the just war principle is how you lose a republic and become an empire.
Those who want civil liberties at home and intervention abroad don't see that those two things are necessarily incompatible. War is almost always the crisis of choice used by the Rahm Emanuels of the world to encroach on liberties.
Too many patriots have become convinced that unprovoked foreign war is a solution. Non-interventionism is incorrectly perceived as weakness, when in fact it is intervention that makes us weaker (through unnecessary loss of lives and dollars) and more vulnerable (more people hate us). Every soldier sent overseas for invasions can't be used for defense of the actual U.S.
Assuming the economy holds out long enough, I will be voting for Ron Paul in the primary and in the general election, writing him in if necessary. You're welcome to join.

Two ways to fix it.
1. Vote in 100 more real conservative Republicans in the House. Vote in 8 to 10 more real conservatives in the Senate. Vote out the most liberal Democrats in the House and Senate and help the few good Democrats do that.
2. If that fails set up a Conservative Party that first election has enough votes in the House/Senate and state ledg.'s to keep the worst of the R and D deals from going down. The RINO's will join the D's fast so there will be one strong party D's for a while with the middle of the road Republicans and our new Conservative Party, after 3 cycles the remains of the Republicans wil quit or join U.S..
Make a plan stick to it.
Ron Paul is a libertarian and the policies they put forward will not work with Americans who vote, that is all there is to that.
@Malthus: "The most important issues in this election are resizing government through dramatic budget cuts ($1 Trillion in 1 year) and restoring the Constitution. Mitt Romney will do neither; Ron Paul will do both."
How would Ron Paul do anything to the budget? He can't. The House ultimately determines the budget. Yes, a President could veto it, but that leaves either no budget (and we stay with the current system of continuing resolutions), or a Congressional override.
"See, aggression is no longer constrained by an ocean nor are levels of force mitigated by self-interest on the part of those aggressors, they are working hand in hand, with us as the target. If you are totally defensive in this environment, you, will, lose, period."
In the same way that it is time to dump establishment candidates, it is also time to dump establishment propaganda.
As to Coulter, she's just a high ranking official in the Ministry of Propaganda.
I'm probably not voting, but I may make an exception for Ron Paul just to help throw a monkey wrench into the machinations of the ruling class.
"How would Ron Paul do anything to the budget? He can't. The House ultimately determines the budget. Yes, a President could veto it, but that leaves either no budget (and we stay with the current system of continuing resolutions), or a Congressional override.-- Jimmy the Saint
So you seriously imagine the fedgov would be running a $1.5 Trillion budget deficit if Ron Paul were President?
The House, which "ultimately determines the budget" is heavily Republican. Do you believe they would defy the wishes of their party's leader if Ron Paul were to be elected President?!
Stop looking for a way to lose; get out of your comfort zone and find a way to get your country back.
You can start by voting for Ron Paul in your home state's primary.
With respect,
MALTHUS
Jimmy the Saint, He does that by cutting whole departments and returning authority back to the states. Such as dept. of ED.,dept of Energy, and more than likely many other unconstitional depts. along with there ZARS.
Another "Anonymous" said, "I like Paul but his attitude on foreign affairs, particularly our avowed enemies, really concerns me."
Really the biggest direct threat we face if from our own government. We can handle foreign enemies far easier than we can the internal ones. In fact, it is our government that has managed the boogieman to scare all you anonymous cowards into slavery.
Don't expect the rest of us to follow you into that slavery. You put yourself on the side of tyranny and will be numbered with the tyrants.

Try this. I screwed it up last time...

Crisis of legitimacy is the usurper in thief fraud in the White Hut from all evidence born in Kenya and non citizen since his mother wasn't old enough to confer citizenship at the time if born abroad.
Sheriff Arpaio's posse investigating, and New Hampshire lawmakers want answers on why Zero can't show or present a long form for examination and his phony social security number to get on the ballot...meeting tomorrow 11/18.
I am not voting for "They're terrorists because we're occupiers." Ron Paul!
Is not this exactly the it is all our fault Bull spewed by the progressive collective?
Anyone that ignorant of foreign policy and history is simply not qualified for the presidency.
The current clown with his Socialist anti-colonial revisionist history thinking is less dangerous.
For that matter I'll vote for Ron Paul before I'll vote for windsock Romney.
My mom taught me "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all." Well, here goes!
I doubt Mitt Romney would be looking for any oral sex from an intern in the Oval Office.
It wasn't easy, Mom, but I did it!
@Malthus: "The House, which "ultimately determines the budget" is heavily Republican. Do you believe they would defy the wishes of their party's leader if Ron Paul were to be elected President?!"
Yes, they absolutely would defy him. They refused to support Bush on Social Security reform, which is supposedly one of the GOP's big ideas for fixing things.
@Dennis: "Jimmy the Saint, He does that by cutting whole departments and returning authority back to the states. Such as dept. of ED.,dept of Energy, and more than likely many other unconstitional depts. along with there ZARS."
How, exactly, does he cut the departments? The President doesn't have that kind of unilateral power. Cutting departments is a great way to go, but it has to be done through Congress, and sadly, that just isn't gonna happen.
I'll be voting for Paul. If the douchebags who run the Republican regime set America up for a split vote, then so be it. In the end, does it really matter if we end up (thanks to the voting zombies) with Obongo or Romney?
The debate between Jimmy the Saint and others brings up a very good question: Just what could Ron Paul do if elected president? I haven't read any of his books (just finished "Nullification" by Thomas Woods, maybe a Paul book should be next) but I would presume he has a plan to restore Constitutional government. One thing is for sure and that is the bureaucrats in power now (and their backers) are pros and will do anything to retain their unconstitutional power. And by "anything," history has shown what that means.
