The ORIGINAL gathering place for a merry band of Three Percenters. (As denounced by Bill Clinton on CNN!)
What's this guy blathering about? Nixon was a pussy.
"Obama beleives in the Rule of Law". Heh. Yeah. Just like when he ran roughshod over contract law when he took contracts for GM and Chrysler's creditors and just shredded them. That's just one example. Rule of law, my hairy white ass.
Well, as long as we're asking - what if he were more like Hoover?http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bonus_Army
I do not nor do I know of anyone who is associated with the 3%, restore the constitution, tea-party movement that views Timothy McVeigh as a hero.I resent that implication!I believe McVeigh was a dupe and a tool used by some (perhaps agents of government) to cast a bad light on those who would argue for limited government. We will likely never know the full truth of what happened that day. But he was no hero! The bombing of the Murrah Building was also a way of distracting the nations attention from the events of the FBI/ATF at Waco and Ruby Ridge and overzealous and un-constitutional actions of the fedgov in general. Finally, I don't care what Nixon would have, could have, might have done. Let's not get off track here! This event could get ugly. Beware of AP's in the crowd. Beware of Feds lurking in the distance with rifles. Beware of the overall situation and your surroundings. Have an exit strategy. Make sure your people (family, friends) know where you are. Be sure your means of transportation is safe and with a full tank of fuel. Bring extra magazines or speed-loaders for your sidearms. Water, and some high energy snacks would also be a good thing to bring. Optics could be a big help too. Some form of recording device to sort out events after the fact,if it turns nasty. Lastly say your prayers.KPN3%
Uh...all of the incidents he listed are great reasons to go to armed! I don't think any fed will want to 'make something of it'.
For one thing I doubt that Nixon - supreme politician that he was - would have rammed this health control bill down the throats of the American body politic...
I started reading this & wondering "WTF!"And hen I looked at the blog heading "Daily Kos".Ahhhh, sez I, now it makes sense (or not).B WoodmanIII-perwv: sachel: what I wish I had a charge of.
KPN :As for armed people on roofs - I don't know but I've been told that if a fellow was doing overwatch on behalf of peaceful citizens, he could ensconce himself in a place over half a mile away, if he had a Barrett with a 3x 10 variable. Not that I know about that kind of stuff. But it seems to me if I was an agent on a rooftop, I might want to re-think my invulnerability before doing anything provocative.
Oh sure he would. Nixon was as much a piece of scum as Obama. Or did you forget his attempt to set prices and wages? His final ending of the gold standard?"there are large numbers of people in this country who unreasonably fearful of their government."After this guy lists off the abuses of Nixon, he is suggesting he's not fearful of government? Or just not "unreasonably" fearful, because he doesn't have the balls to carry a gun? Hoplophobes, what can you say about them...
If you go to this event, try to stay near cover as often as possible. Bringing water/food: good ideaExtra mags/ammo: great ideaGas masks: Greatest ideaVideo recording device: Genius
If there's any doubt as to the intelligence of these people or any indicator as to the conviction with which they hold their opinions of us, let me sum up what they seem to be sayin;"Hey, those crazy, hate-filled racisits who despise our country are gettin' together and they're all bringing their guns. Let's go fuck with 'em!"
Could this be the Final Intolerable act. I await you, dare if you may.
Speaking of feds lurking in the distance...I have heard there were snipers at a couple of DC events, but I have never seen a photo.Would it be wise to point a camera with a telephoto lens in their direction? I don't know about that, but I would LOVE to have some pictures of them. What an image to have to prove the government has taken arms up against us, even if they aren't yet pulling triggers.

April 7, 2010 9:59 PMIt is late and I don't have time to pull anything out right now. But the internet is full of photo's of agents on roof-tops with various types of sniper weapons pointed at protesters at various gatherings. And ... another good thing about Nixon? Our prison population has risen by approximately 75 percent.
Steven D did not do his research. Most of the "Pretend with me for a moment that the following events" Did occur in the Nixon administration. One example being armed Black Panther members at demonstrations, government meetings, and such. But do not trust me look it up for yourself.Or how about the terrorism of the Symbionese Liberation Army? And what was the worst that Nixon did?Watergate? Or a clear cut case of self defense like Kent State?"Obama beleives in the Rule of Law"? What the Progressives have already done to destroy the Rule of law is far worse than all of Nixon's worst actions put together!
I gotta laugh. Just before the Kos page completed loading, my browser crashed!!!Good browser... good browser.... here's a bone.It dutifully complied with the load request on the 2nd go round. The guy is a sold-out leftist. An ideological enemy.... and one who would spit on a Constitutionalist's grave if he thought no one was looking.
Steven D. is OBVIOUSLY nowhere near old enough to remember what really went on back in the 60's - 70's. I was there. I know. It's the reason I turned from a 'radical peacenik' to a 'radical conservative'. He and his ilk are about as alseep as one can be.And the Daily 'Kos' is about 5 letters away from what it SHOULD be called.-JRM
@Brutus; it will be an easy task to get photos of the fed snipers.Just use Mapquest(aerial view), Google Earth, or any of those programs. To go past the allowed magnification, I use the magnification on Yahoo.Be surprised how close you can zoom in.
Nixon was an antigun boob."In 1969, journalist William Safire asked Richard Nixon what he thought about gun control. "Guns are an abomination," Nixon replied. According to Safire, Nixon went on to confess that, "Free from fear of gun owners' retaliation at the polls, he favored making handguns illegal and requiring licenses for hunting rifles.""It's funny, though, that he was so scared of retaliation at the polls that he didn't act on his beliefs. The more things change...teh more they stay the same.
