Californication.

One national border. Two peoples.

Will the last free American to leave California please bring the flag?

If this law is passed:

Dear Peace ... er, law enforcement officer,

I won't be able to get all of who will come to enforce this law upon me ... but I am sure my 308's have one of your names on it.

Pity your widow.

West Hollywood and Beverly Hills: isn't that where all the actors live? They don't have any guns to start with, do they?

Seriously, gun registration laws, where they exist, are generally ignored. I suspect we'll see the typical level of non-compliance here as well if the ordinance is passed. If I lived there, I wouldn't register gun one, and would anonymously inform the authorities through various channels that I, and possibly others, don't intend to spend one second in a squad car. Not one more inch, in other words.

Register THAT, Assemblyman Feuer (pronounced "Fuhrer", I assume?).

I see I misread - we're talking about proposed STATE legislation here. I read too quickly and thought it was a Beverly Hills ordinance. All the better since there are a LOT more Californians who will disobey this law. Back in 1989 when the "Roos-Roberti" law banning "assault weapons" was enacted, a group of Califorians called "Gun Owners React" openly called upon those who owned such arms to disobey the registration requirement. And indeed, only bout 10% of California's "assault weapon" owners registered their firearms. Quite lovely.

We will see the same phenomenon if this moron Feuer gets his way.

They never learn...

Didn't the Los Angels riots teach them that assault rifles are good?

Feuer is one of more major reasons I left my birth state.

And I'm damned glad I did.

And here's what you do, should you be a hunter or carry a handgun for protection: buy two (or more) of each; register one of each.

Flight - ER - Doc: Same here, and I don't miss it a bit.

Ah,reason #29,843 why I left kookyfornya. If this ever happens on a national level, all I can say is I WILL NOT register or turn in squat and I WILL NOT go to prison.Draw from that what conclusion you can!

I am here, and here I will stay. Some were born elsewhere, and others left. Of those who left, a few were summer soldiers and sunshine patriots.

To them, good riddance.

For those who watch aghast at California, STAND FAST! Living in California, behind enemy lines, is heartening and entertaining. Someone had to stay behind in Vichy France, after all. We're here - tens of thousands of armed conservatives and libertarians, wreaking political havoc and watching politicians and liberals walk around with a popsicle headache.

What can you do?

It's 11:59 on Radio Free America; this is Uncle Sam, with music, and the truth until dawn. Right now I've got a few words for some of our brothers and sisters in the occupied zone: "the chair is against the wall, the chair is against the wall", "john has a long mustache, john has a long mustache". It's twelve o'clock, America, another day closer to victory. And for all of you out there, on, or behind the line, this is your song.

Anonymous 4:24, you rightly shame us who fled.

Well, sort of. ;)

Regardless, stand fast. You make us all proud and give us courage, as you show us the way.

And if and when Mr. Fuhrer and/or his staff looks in here, as I know they will (wink, wink), all I can say is: fuck you, folks. You pass that law, and you'll encounter a shit storm of resistance in response. That's a promise.

Here's more on the goat screw CA is becoming. What a waste of a great state:
> Californians now overwhelmingly favor giving
> illegal immigrants a "path to legalization"
> rather than punishing them by denying them
> a public education and social services
Hey, it's someone else's money, after all.
> The survey of 1,515 registered voters
> showed that 67 percent of Californians
> support a two-pronged approach to solving
> the illegal immigration problem:
> implementing stronger enforcement
> at the border while setting up a
> legalization path for undocumented
> immigrants who admit they broke the law,
> perform community service, learn
> English and pay fines and back taxes
Yeah, that'll work.

Where I live in Cali it is 70 to 30 conservative, RTKBA, and prolly silent militia.
As I travel the state and network with the rest it is the same.
We may be behind the lines...but we are here, in force.

To hell with this. I am going back to my home state. If we let CA fall then were does that leave the rest of the country. It's the forward edge of the battle ground gentlemen.
I'll ask you what would a patriot do? Join the fight or stand by and watch it go to hell and then say " see I told you so!"
Really, would you fight for only your state? If we lose CA then WA,OR,NV and AZ are next.
Join or Die?
I don't think that bashing a whole state is helpful to the patriot movement. Will we stand by and lose a whole state and find it amusing. If we give up CA then the cancer will just grow.
Hold fast men! Remember the Alamo and those volunteers who gave their lives there. Would you do the same for CA? NY? IL? FL or are you really only concerned about your back yard? Ask yourself What would a Patriot do?
I pray that we have the resolve and will to fight for the concepts outlined by the founders that the original patriots had. Otherwise we will have to explain why we stood by and let this happen.
sincerely Davy Crockett

Anon @ 4:24, s&g services, et al, are the openly defiant voices of those Skip meets in his travels in the People's Democratic Republic of California/P.D.R.C., & be advised that there're a LOT of us out here who're just as determined to keep our liberty as anyone else in the rest of the country. For those who doubt it, review anon@1:06pm's post about the compliance rate w/ Roberti-Roos & then recall where the open carry "movement" began. Note also that we in the P.D.R.C. DIDN'T meekly submit to disarmament edicts from Bradley, Gates, & Wilson when the Rodney King riot broke out & threatened to spread to other parts of the state, but instead quietly put the word out that attempts by LE to disarm/arrest people who were defending their homes/businesses from violent mobs would be met w/ deadly force. And if you outside the P.D.R.C. don't believe it, look up how many people were busted for "brandishing"/"threatening"/"endangering the public" by openly displaying their armed resolve to repel thugs. So the next time the rest of you feel the urge to lump all Californians in w/ the Leftists in L.A.,the Bay Area, & Sacramento, think again. Quiet don't = passive.

Anonymous @ 4:24 PM,

Would that song from Radio Free America to we in the southern sector of the W.C.O.Z./West Coast Occupied Zone be Mike & the Mechanics' "Silent Running", or is it perhaps Arthur Brown's "Fire"?
