"When the trough is empty, the hogs go feral."

From David Codrea at War on Guns.

If you are not checking WoG and David's Examiner column out every day, you're missing a bet.

As for me, my favorite bit of hog wisdom comes from a Baptist pastor and friend of mine, who grew up on a hog farm in Georgia: "You can't eat the same hog twice."

You know, if the Fed bails out California (and based on their track record-that's where we're headed), then what happens to the ideal of statehood? Maybe we go back to a 49 star flag.

Also, this idea hit me today. If you graphed states' credit ratings to their students' standardized test scores-or per-pupil spending, I wonder if there'd be a big gap? I have a hunch that us "dumb" states have decent credit ratings while the more enlightened states like California and New York can only sell bonds at junk status.

Unions.
Teachers, SEIU, correctional, Davis-Bacon, a hundred more have have broken this state from the fifth largest economy in the world to less than a third world cesspool.
