"There's no way to rule innocent men. The only power government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws."
The bullet button should suffice. It makes the magazine un-removable or affixed unless a "tool" like the tip of a button - hence bullet button - is used. It is widely used in CA as a way of by-passing bans on evil features.
The police can look through his ffl book all they want, that's the law. A ffl does not have to point out or search for anything for them. I assume that he was trying to protect other customers. Give him the benefit of a doubt. I see nothing wrong with a dealer selling a standard-parts Colt ARs or others as the law is crap anyway. But no dealer has the balls.
There is such thing as an illegal gun. The power to ban entire classes of arms was removed from the hands of government via the second article of amendment.
The term assault weapon and illegal gun are twin brothers - mythical fabrications by those ignoring the limitation upon government our Constitution imposes.
There are illegal THINGS that a criminal can DO with arms, but then those things are actions not inanimate objects.
I guess I am still trying to figure out how one would load an AR with the magazine "epoxyed" into the magazine well? You would need very small fingers to load bullets in through the ejection port? My solution would be to pack up and leave NY.

Headline should read "New York State Gun Hotline Gives Erroneous Information" or "New York State Has Head Up Backside".
doesn't require comment beyond this.

And all those names in the sales records from the gun shop will be added to the New York Polices' future "smash, grab and maybe kill" list.

The NYS Trooper who requested the records ought to get a tour of the holler. After one or two, they'll get the idea.

Pop the rear pin; hinge the upper open and the mag is easily accessible.
Surely a clip charging modification to the upper reciever is also possible to speed the process without becoming 'unhinged'

Its amazing how far Muricans will bend over to cooperate with tyrants.
The time for negotiations and lawyers and talk is almost over.
