He just reiterated and defended everything he wrote in the original column, completely unrepentant and with no apology. Self righteous arrogance abounded.

The problem Dick and his ilk have is that they subscribe to the idea that there is a gray-area or "reasonable" restrictions when it's comes the Second Amendment and our natural right of self-protection. That idea is, for any honest and thinking individual, a falsehood.
Nowhere in the text of the Second is there even a hint of compromise. Nowhere in the mind of any reasonable person is there the idea that my right to protect myself, my family and my property is in any way negotiable. This is the crux of the issue; the Second Amendment, as with all of the rights enumerated in the The Bill of Rights, is NOT negotiable. Any person or organization that argues is otherwise is, quite simply, the ENEMY and should be dealt with as such. Period. It's real simple, Dick. Sorry you don't get it. The rest of us do, and that's why YOU'RE FIRED.
People like Metcalf lead priviledged lives and can not conceive of a need for the 2nd Amendment for themselves and by extension for any other reasonable person either. In their minds anyone who needs (or honors)the 2nd Amendment must not be a reasonable person and surely deserves to have the protection of the Constitution stripped from them.

"We are at WAR with a segment of society whose Goal is 'Total Civilian Disarmament.' We are NOT in a Dialog, Debate or Healthy Give-and-Take in the University Academic Lounge. The Primary weapon used by our Blood Enemies is 'The Big Lie!' The enemy states a Big Lie. We run around like decapatated chickens, marshalling our arguments, footnoting our learned responces, bullet- pointing our facts....and, after the charade is over, the enemy repeats The Lie! The lapdog media reports 'The Lie' as 'Truth' and we lose again." Metcalfs' tactic is "Death by a thousand cuts," but his "Charade" is now "Busted' and his words are hollow. The dude needs to sell his guns, if he has any, and join the Democratic Party! Then he'll be among his kind. I leave Mr. Metcalf with these last words from "Sam Adams." "Go from us in Peace. We ask not your council or arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."
