Uncommon common sense in the current Absolved hysteria.

Fox News expert Mike Vanderboegh says alleged Georgia militia misunderstood his novel.

Personally, while I’m no fan of Vanderboegh’s work, I think it’s ridiculous and vindictive to try to blame him for the alleged actions of four people from Georgia. If – and it’s still a big if – the four alleged militia members (whose families insist they are innocent) were influenced by Absolved, that says more about them than it does about any book.

Maybe it was video games that made them do it?

Isn't that the usual excuse?

Or the music?

Ask Tipper Gore, she'll know.

Can we blame the Motorcycle Diaries for scores of retarded neo-commies, then?
