On believing the tooth fairy more than Eric Holder. Vladimir and Estragon still await the Office of Inspector General Report on the Gunwalker Scandal.

Vladimir: So, the newspaper says that Holder testified he was still waiting for the OIG report before he could say anything specific about what happened in the Gunwalker Scandal.

Estragon: I didn't see that. I kept switching channels back and forth between ABC and NBC and they didn't report a thing.

Vladimir: Of course not, but nevertheless Holder says the OIG Report is the big deal that we're all waiting for.

Estragon: What's the date today?

Vladimir: The tenth of November.

Estragon: And when did Holder order the OIG to start investigating?

Vladimir: The 28th of February.

Estragon: More than eight months ago.

Vladimir: Yup.

Estragon: We've been sitting here for more than eight months?

Vladimir: Yup. Heck, it's coming up on a year since Brian Terry was killed.

Estragon: The 28th of February. . . the date sounds familiar.

Vladimir: You're thinking of Waco. The raid on the Davidians by the ATF happened on the 28th of February, 1993.

Estragon: Oh, right. They covered up that one too.

Vladimir: Yup.

Estragon: Eric Holder helped cover it up too, didn't he?

Vladimir: Yup.

Estragon: So why do they think he's going to do any different this time when his own ass is on the line?

Vladimir: I dunno. But they keep acting like this OIG Report is what we're all waiting for.

Estragon: And the OIG people work for him, right?

Vladimir: Right.

Estragon: And we believe him, why, exactly?

Vladimir: I dunno. But they say we should wait. All will be revealed.

Estragon: (Sigh.) You'd think one of these Senators or news media people would call him on how long it is taking. Why don't they?

Vladimir: I dunno. It can't be because they actually believe him. More people believe in the tooth fairy than in the independence of the OIG's office.

Estragon: Do you believe in the tooth fairy?

Vladimir: Yes, but I also believe the OIG report is coming out before the election.

Estragon: Well, I believe in the tooth fairy too, but based on past experience I don't believe in Eric Holder.

Vladimir: So why are you waiting?

Estragon: Well, if you're going to wait, I guess I will too.

Vladimir: Just quit wasting your time watching ABC and NBC, okay?

Estragon: (Sighs.) Okay.

Meanwhile, in the halls of Main Justice, two OIG agents discuss the case.

Sissy: So, when are you going to finish the gunwalking investigation?

Billy: What gunwalking investigation?
