A Len Savage Custom MAC-10 Offered on Gunbroker.

A full-auto MAC-10 customized by Len Savage is up for bid on Gunbroker here. It includes a "Helmke Special Capacity Magazine" for Glocks as first featured here on Sipsey Street. Here is the description from GunBroker:

THIS IS A FULL AUTO MAC 10 THAT HAS BEEN CUSTOMIZED BY HISTORIC ARMS LLC TO ACCEPT GLOCK MAGS IN 9MM, THIS IS ONE OF A KIND TOY, COMES WITH 2 32 ROUND GLOCK MAGS AND ONE 100 ROUND BETA MAG. THE MACHING GUN HAS FOLDING STOCK, AND 10.5 INCH BARREL THREADED TO ACCEPT M16 FLASH HIDER, ALSO COMES WITH ULTIMA SUPPRESSOR BY COASTAL GUN CO. IF YOU HAVE A MAC 10 AND WOULD LIKE TO HAVE YOUR GUN CUSTOMIZED PLEASE CALL LEN SAVAGE AT 1-706-675-0818.

Pictures up close and personal of Len's work. I have some videos of this ripstick in action, but I have to figure out how to upload to YouTube. Any volunteers? (And yes, Len has an ATF letter permitting this sort of modification since the transferable serial-numbered receiver remains intact.)

The flared end to the mag slot in the grip is a very nice touch.

You'd wonder if the designers of most guns ever intended you to change the mag in a hurry. PPSh were one of the worst (about what you'd expect from collectivists).

ps, Browning hi power mags work great in Marlin camp carbines if you file a new slot in the mag for the carbine's mag catch

*drools* I want one

Mike, I'll upload the video to YouTube, if you want, and if the file is small enough to send by email (you have my address). If the file is too big, we'd have to come up with something else.

Looks like a fun toy but for that sort of money I could get into a Barrett M82A1 off the used market.

YouTube links are up.

Part 1

Part 2

Let me know if any changes in the titles/descriptions are desired.

Isn't it ironic that the magazine and drums look like....

Let's just say that Len Savage has cohones!

Oops. Painted myself into a bit of a corner. I just noticed that Part 2 didn't have sound (for some reason), so I deleted it, to try to do it over, but YouTube is so far not letting me upload, because it's a "duplicate."

I'm hoping that once a certain amount of time goes by since the deletion of the first attempt, it will let me upload.

Sorry.

Argggh! OK--Part 2 is back up again. Here's the new link. Unfortunately, there's still no sound.

I can't figure out why, the file I have on my computer has sound, but the sound is lost when I try to upload it.

I'll try to figure something out, although that would involve a third link.

Again, my profuse apologies to everyone.

Silly question for someone who's still obeying laws that prevent me from legally having a pistol;

Is a Glock mag single feed position or does it feed out of alternate sides?

Gives me a "boner"

Yeah--sorry. By now, you've probably seen the explanation.

To see Part 2 with sound, go here.

Dick's dad: Glock is a conventional double-stack.

The stacks merge into a single feed position in the top-center of the mag.

Depends on the GLOCK, as to if it's single or double stacked. They make both.

I've looked, but can't find it on GB -- did it sell already?

Thanks

As a former owner of a Class 3 .45 Powder Springs Mac-10 I can tell you, they are a blast to shoot and not worth the money. I bought mine for $200 in 1980 plus the $200 ATF tax. Had a load of .45 M-3 'greasegun' mags and Vietnam issue pouches and misc. gear, carried it on some patrols while still in the USMCR. It was really nice and compact, could riddle the shit out of a 5 gal. tar bucket at a 100 yds.
But for what they cost today, $2,000-4,000, they are not worth it. A very specialized weapon with very little practical use except CQB and wasting ammo at Knob Creek. Don't get caught up into buying something as expensive as this and finding out it's not good for much in the real world. I'd much rather carry a short AK47 or FAL than a subgun. Just my .02 worth.
