Hillary's War: There's that old loaned testicle thing again.

Obama Takes Hard Line With Libya After Shift by Clinton

The shift in the administration’s position — from strong words against Libya to action — was forced largely by the events beyond its control: the crumbling of the uprising raised the prospect that Colonel Qaddafi would remain in power to kill “many thousands,” as Mr. Obama said at the White House on Friday.

The change became possible, though, only after Mrs. Clinton joined Samantha Power, a senior aide at the National Security Council, and Susan Rice, Mr. Obama’s ambassador to the United Nations, who had been pressing the case for military action, according to senior administration officials speaking only on condition of anonymity. Ms. Power is a former journalist and human rights advocate; Ms. Rice was an Africa adviser to President Clinton when the United States failed to intervene to stop the Rwanda genocide, which Mr. Clinton has called his biggest regret.

Remember this from just a few days ago?

"If Hillary gave him [Obama] one of her balls, they'd both have two." Democratic strategist James Carville, Christian Science Monitor breakfast, November, 2010.

G-d bless Mr. Carville! Not sure he's right, though. If Hillary gave Obama one, he'd still have only one. Makes you wonder who really fathered Sasha and Malia. Maybe they were adopted to make this commie couple appear more "mainstream". Can you imagine MicHELLe submitting to the pain and "indignity" of childbirth?

We'll never see their birth certificates to find that out, though.

The UN declares war - Obama says, "I'm in." - That's it, we're in. The UN, Hilliary, and Obama just bypassed the Constitution and congress and We The People. Hell, we don't count anyway. They ARE much smarter than you and me.

Are we now under UN law rather than US law? Why is UN approval the only thing Obama needed?

Discussion over at "Belmont Club" suggests (unconfirmed) that the more commi end of the dems are throwing their toys out of the pram in protest.

They can still console themselves by imagining how much worse this would have been if Dubya were still commi in chief...

How long before the MSM revert to type, and start showing pictures of blown up children, killed by rich and eevil white/racist folks in the west?

Saddam managed to kill Kurds and Shia, despite a no fly and despite almost daily bombing. I don't think that Ghedaffi Duck is any less murderous, and I don't think his country is any less tribal, or less prone to insurrection after he's set fire to the oilfields and disappeared off to live with Chavez.

In short, this is going to get very messy,

But, let's not let anyone forget about "Gunwalker"...

The war powers act (1973) allows the president to conduct operations for 60 days without congressional permission, by which time he will get it. Regardless, this still required a declaration of war by both the House and Senate, not that they care.

Is this war, or is it a "police action"? Ask a Korean vet to tell you the difference.

Besides, this is hardly the first time this administration has ignored or trampled the Constitution. It is unlikely it will be the last time.

ANOTHER violation of the Constitution. Where the hell does obama get the authority to commencing war against a country without consulting Congress ? Oh, that's right, he's the Messiah, Congress doesn't matter, and the Constitution is dead.

obama needs to be impeached for this attack on Libya and violation of the United States Constitution.

@anon (4:19 PM)

Did the war powers act (1973) amend the Constitution? Or, is it just another end-run of convenience around the Constitution? I don't recall reading of a 28th amendment.

If, prior to any gifts from Hillary, Obama had even one ball, it's because one bounced into his lap at a ping pong tournament and he kept it.
