"IL State Rep. Kelly Cassidy introduces gun registration Intolerable Act." Or, put another way, Sucker State politico volunteers to become another log burning brightly on the fires of Hell.

"This bill is nothing short of a declaration of war on Illinois gun owners. War is a dangerous thing, Rep. Cassidy--is forcible citizen disarmament worth that risk to you?"

This bill is really not all that different from Illinois new "carry" law. It requires waiving of rights just like this bill does, carrying the permission slip is the same, duty to inform is there too. Basically, it is an augmentation if the worst of the carry law expanded to owners as opposed just carriers and of course it is sooooo ex post facto as well.

Superman says this a declaration of war. I don't disagree. But let's consider please, when the NRA refused to oppose THESE SAME THINGS in the carry bil, and goes so far as to actively HELP the ISP impose it, and it got its satellites and members to stand down opposition to it, how does the NRA oppose this now? Really all this bill does is equate the rules for carry to the rules for ownership....

So you see, war was already declared upon Illinoisans and the NRA already chose the side of government. Much of what's in this new bill already exists now and THAT will be used to justify this legislation.

IF one takes the position that this fails and it does fail then we are back to the "it could have been worse" argument presented as the excuse for the failure to expand gun rights in Illinois.

The MRA offers HUGE hypocrisy, and so do republicans, if they even argue against it now - because they ALL refused to argue against these by refusing to vote for these same things LAST YEAR. The truth is they DID vote FOR these very things just last year.

But hey, they got their training money and the fake talking point that they voted for "carry". When in reality they bowed down to MORE GUN CONTROL serving little more than setting up THIS gun control now.

Funnier to me than all that is going to be watching the same folks told to support the carry bill now scream about how bad THIS bill is. I am left to wonder when they finally realize that they are making a loud noise indeed. BAAAAHHH. BAAAAHHH. BAAAAHH. Led around like the sheep they are and totally oblivious to the idiocy they spout.

Illinoisans will only stop circling the drain when they admit to themselves that those declaring war upon them are in government but also without - though in the same politically elite class. They are called LOBBYISTS and they serve their government master dutifully.

Me? I want to see this bill pass. I want the governor to sign it. Why??? Because I want to see the NRA explain why they help implement these things while they oppose and even threaten suits over this "new" bill. I want the NRA exposed fully for its double dealings and for all to see I'm telling truth when I say -

The NRA is the biggest and best disguised GUN CONTRIL group in this country.

Nutshell - the NRA refused to fight these provisions when it mattered and instead helps impose them. It's standing now to fight them is nil and that it brought onto itself. But you know who earned the most shame? Those who said "don't throw Chicago under the bus". For they threw the entire state under the bus!!! They got their precious preemption all right. This here legislation is what they actually gained.

Chances this passes? I give it upper 80s%. And sadly it's that same or more% fault of the worthless NRA and it's scandalous and nefarious treachery.

Relying on the NRA to be the main opposition to gun control is an ineffective strategy. Other groups such as GOA and SAF have proven more effective at filing successful legal challenges to unconstitutional laws, but your primary concern should be electing to office those who wholeheartedly support the U.S. Constitution in its entirety and the removal from office of those who do not.

Matt Bracken had the right idea in "Enemies Foreign and Domestic". If you didn't get Bracken's books when he was giving them away as ebooks last fall you MAY be a dumb-ass. If you don't have at least the "Enemies" trilogy GET 'EM. . . NOW!!!

If you do have the books READ 'EM . . . MEDITATE ON 'EM!!

For those who have at least part one of the trilogy,

FedList anyone? And think about the Dutchman's title for his piece on James Fintan Lalor.
