Obama Campaign Bundler Helping Fund Libertarian in Tight Va. Gubernatorial Race

Austin, Texas, software billionaire Joe Liemandt is the Libertarian Booster PAC’s major benefactor. He’s also a top bundler for President Barack Obama. This revelation comes as Virginia voters head to the polls Tuesday in an election where some observers say the third-party gubernatorial candidate could be a spoiler for Republican Ken Cuccinelli.

My, isn't politics fun!

Turnabout is fair play. Several recent instances of resourceful Republican party campaign donors helping get "green" and other far left 3rd party candidates they had no actual love for onto ballots where it was believed they would primarily cost votes to the Democratic candidate in the resulting 3 way race.

Hell, my CHICKENS can learn new strategies by watching each other. Why not campaign financiers? Perhaps someday even the VOTERS may learn how to play these games...

So long as the feckless Republicans want to run the dem lite (traitor lite) candidates, the reaching out to democrats candidates, they DESERVE to lose. Part of why that corrupting of the Libertarian party strategy works is because folks are SICK of voting for the. (R ) only to get a democrat, big government nanny stater with an (R) behind their names. Folks would rather the (D) have to OWN it's own garbage.

I'm glad the crook won (just like I was glad Romney lost) because now those Virginians have to live with it. And so does the GOPe. They can witness their own anti TEA party sentiment destroy their precious stranglehold on elections. Their "lesser of two evils" dogma isn't working anymore and the old guard has to either step aside or see that fake party claiming to be defenders of the Republic REPLACED by those who will ACTUALLY defend the Republic.

For many years I've watched as those GOPe fools conned people in this country into voting their way "because they can win ". But the only thing "won " was DEMOCRATIC ALLIES!

How many elections will they sacrifice trying to destroy the liberty movement? How many will it take? They already gave away TWO presidential elections. They gave away several senate seats in two cycles and now they are even giving away governorships.

GOOD! The more the wolves in Sherpa clothing LOSE the better! That way, idiots can finally see that the REAL usurpers of Liberty are the Democrats AND the Fake Republicans who act just like Democrats.

I already emailed the Libertarian candidate and "thanked" him for getting a damned democrat elected just because he ran as a libertarian. His name is Robert Sarvis. I told him the best way to get libertarian principles into politics is to join the Republican Party, like Ron Paul and Rand Paul. Libertarians usually just take most of their votes away from Republican candidates and help the democrats get elected. (I refuse to capitalize the word democrat.)

To clarify my earlier comment, Robert Sarvis was the Libertarian candidate who ran for governor in Virginia and likely helped the democrat get elected.

It's simple. The democrat party is controlled by Marxists, has been for a long time.

The Marxists now control the republican party leadership and eventually will control any other party or group which is populated by their enemies and targets, us.

You have three options, take back the republican party leadership. Die, knowing that the enemies of your country and children will win. Enders game begins...

Here's a thought just in case anyone with pull in the Libertarian Party is reading this:

Target liberals with Libertarian campaign material. There are a lot of planks in the Libertarian platform that appeal immensely to the liberal base. Suspend your disbelief for a moment and think about it. The Libertarian Party:
opposes the Drug War
opposes gov involvement in abortion
opposes foreign interventionism
opposes limits on freedom of movement including immigration
supports the Bill of Rights

Yes, the Democratic Party stands in stark opposition to many of the Libertarian Party's ideals, especially in this day and age, but don't mistake the Democratic Party for Democratic voters. For example, in the last poll I saw, only 66% of Democratic voters supported harsher gun laws. That may be a majority, but 34% is dangerous amount of dissidents for a party to contain.

As someone who was a loyal Democratic supporter for my entire voting life up until about 4 years ago, I can tell you that I personally know a lot of other people like me who are deeply disillusioned with the Democratic party. A lot of those who voted for Obama in 2008 did so because of our disgust with the attacks on the 1st, 4th, 5th, and 6th Amendments as embodied in the Patriot Act, the formation of that Orwellian monstrosity the DHS, the encroaching spy-state, the overtures toward indefinite detention and execution by executive fiat, and the exploding debt, all under Bush.

Obama promised to change all that, and of course we know how that went. The only reason he and his party haven't lost more votes is because most Democratic voters and even former Democratic voters would rather poke out their eyes with a stick than vote Republican.

Just like the Democrats are the primary motivating force for most Republican voters, the vice is versa. They're two wolves stampeding prey into each others' jaws.

The only way I see to break their hold over this country's politics is to break their symbiotic relationship with each other. They both rely heavily on playing the "at least we're not as bad as those guys" card, because it works, again and again.

My $0.02... doesn't seem to buy what it used to.

When the majority of the population is now on gov't assistance over those who are working, we will not be able to vote our way out of this. Unless economic collapse hits first.

You can thank idiots like Old Greybeard for voting the lesser of two evils crap rather than principle.

There's a special place reserved in hell for folks that ensure that evil is still elected.

At some point, you may be asked by your Creator why you voted for evil rather than the man who upheld the principles you allegedly subscribe to.

I wonder if the answer that "he didn't have a chance of winning" will buy you a reprieve. He only didn't have a chance b/c most of Amerika wouldn't vote their principles either.

For those Anons who can't seem to figure this out.
The libertarian party just helped defeat the less government candidate and installed the more government candidate.

They could have won by doing nothing, or even gained by helping Ken Cuccinelli but instead installed the enemy into political office, again, this time in Virginia.

Is John Boehner a friend? Is he "for" smaller government?

How about John McCain? He a "defender" of liberty?

Lindsey Graham?

Newsflash: most of the Republicrats are barely distinguishable from the Demopublicans?

Einstein's definition of insanity was doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result. Yet, here we are....50+ years into playing the two party game, watching the country go down in flames and still holding to the idea that voting for the lesser of two evils is going to result in anything other than evil.

The only thing you may be doing by voting for an R vs. a D (rather than what the person actually stands for) is buying time. But, are we getting more likely to return to a founder's republic with the passage of that time, or less?

Something to think about.

I think folks might be incorrect in calling this stalking horse a true Libertarian. I too never pay to much attention to those folks. But a similar situation happened here in Michigan. The Dems formed a fake Tea Party and ran candidates. After an investigation it was found that several state election laws were broken and charges were filed, a guilty verdict obtained and fines and time time in jail given. So such things might not be as it seems. Remember what that bag of worm food Alinsky taught these radical assholes. By whatever means neccessary. The real crime here that it took so long for the Gutless Old Progressives to figure out what was actually happening.

If the Republicans had all voted for the Libertarian then McAuliffe would have lost.

If the Republicans had all voted for the Libertarian, then the progressive owned Quisling "Libertarian" candidate would be Governor of Virginia.

Much like the anarchists have helped totalitarians and/or themselves into power in the past.
