I'm in San Antonio now and toured the Alamo today.

Powerful place. Will head home tomorrow after stopping off at "Come and Take It" Gonzales. Feeling a little rocky right now, so I'll probably not do any posting until morning.

I was there a few years ago because of my job. Of course being so close i had to visit this site.

Looking at it is was easy to over run if you wanted to.

The walls were barely over my head, there was no space in many places to give even an alert observer time to give an effective alarm before the SHTF, And the biggest thing was, I looked at the pics i have seen over the years of it, and I never knew how incredibly small, indefensable, and a deathtrap for patriots it was ubtil i went there.

Perhaps they did know or did not know how screwed they were, but regardless, it is a point in time where you selected a path and stood for it even if death was at the door either way.

This is a true American. Our days are numbered.

4,000+ to 183. Lousy odds, but since you're going to die anyway, you may as well take as many with you as you can.

I was the as a kid, but didn't fully appreciate it until I took my own children there. That ground is hallowed by the blood that was he'd to protect it. It didn't end well for them, but their valor inspired millions over the years.

Texans are, ever since, a different breed of man. I'm proud to say I am a Texan, no matter where I lay my head or earn my bread.
