Democrats bypass checks and balances to halt open gun carry law in Mississippi

A Hinds County circuit court judge, initially appointed to the bench by a Democrat governor, granted the wishes of a Democrat prosecutor on Friday in an “emergency hearing” to halt implementation of a gun bill opposed by Democrat lawmakers, the Associated Press reported . Judge Winston Kidd issued a temporary injunction after Hinds County District Attorney Robert Shuler Smith requested that he block a new law from going into effect.

Progressive-fascists never sleep.

The Lincoln junta, the proto-pregressive government didn't, they don't now.

Hand on the grip trumps anybody that says otherwise, as to legal carry. Benteen proved that to Custer, who wanted to "horse-whip" him.

If you don't have the initiative to actively disobey, I hate to say it, but I don't find such people threepers. It shall be through force that our rights are taken back, not ballot boxes and weiner wagons. There never was any time for negotiation, other than negotiating natural born rights away.

Hey Lass and Josh, since you wrote an innaccurate Huff Po article about me, can I be on the insurrectionist time-line, too? It would be like an early Christmas/Hannukah present to me.

All my cool friends are insurrectionists and all I get are the occasional IRS audit and a MG/Sup dealer in Texas that hasn't done business with me for a few years, as I wrote web pages demeaning government and LEOs that don't know what they are doing to their reps, much less the community of people...he has the mistaken goal of sucking the fedgov tit.

Neal on "rights":
“In fighting legislation, the most dangerous words are: ‘If you don't accept this, you're going to get something far worse crammed down your throat.’ That's the unnerving and rarely true argument which is responsible for every federal gun law on the books.”

A hand on a pistol speaks louder than somebody telling you you do not have the rights you were born with.

I notice there's a planned armed 5K run and half-mile dash in Utah. Participants will be carrying handguns in holsters in open-carry fashion. I hope the organizers insist that holsters have good retention. I wouldn't attempt to run with an open topped holster unless it had a very good clampdown retention feature. Imagine running with a firearm in something like an open-top nylon inside-the-pants holster. If the gun bounced out, the least harm would be damage to the gun. The worst harm would be caused by an accidental discharge. If either of those events occurred, at the very least, it would hurt the case for open carry the participants are trying to make.

Tom - that throat shoving comment is EXACTLY what democrats in control of Illinois hovernment are saying. And interestingly it is also EXACTLY what the feckless NRA is touting too.

Hilariously, I saw the Illinois NRA lobbyist take credit for WRITING the "unloaded and enclosed in a case" language that exists as law here. He was bragging about it! The friggin NRA bragging about imposing UNLOADED upon us all - while claiming to be fighting to "advance" the "right" to carry.

The NRA is the biggest and best disguised GUN CONTROL group in the country. I am left to wonder if that Brady bunch clone is acting behind closed doors in Mississippi like it is here in Illinois? It is fully proven that the NRA is AGAINST constitutional carry and that it acted openly against it here. Shouldn't be a surprise if that is the case down south too....
