well Mike, I didn't know violating Colorado's new law was a misdemeanor, so maybe you won't have to do prison time. I wonder what the fine is for a violation. Oh, better multiply that by 100. I'm halfway joking, but I sincerely hope they don't arrest anyone. I'll always wish you the very best.
Back in the early 70's I managed to get stupid and along with a "friend" got busted for multiple felonies. After I served my time, my Parole Officer actually helped me to do the paperwork for what in Kentucky is called "Restoration of Citizenship Rights" AKA I got myself a GOVERNOR's PARDON. Later I applied for "Relief from Disability" at the ATF and got that really nice letter signed by Rex Davis, the head of ATF at that time allowing me to own firearms. Years ago whenever I wanted to buy a gun I would have a copy of my "RfD" letter from ATF that I would attach to my purchase paperwork. A good friend of mine owned a gun shop and I made many purchases from him. He told me about one time that the ATF came in to flip thru the ATF paperwork. He told me that the ATF agent stopped when he got to one of my pages, uttered a "deleted expletive" then continued thru the stack. Not sure which page got the ATF dudes attention (AR-15, UZI Carbine, H&K SP-89) but it has never come back on me and have had NO CONTACT with ATF since I got my Relief from Disability. If I can do it, others can do it as well. Take care and stay armed.
