I hate to say this, but the recall effort in Colorado for these gun-grabber politicians is not a good idea. At best, it's a long shot, will probably fail, and thus, will embolden the Left.
The libtards in Wisconsin set a bad precedent when they decided to try and recall Governor Walker and six Republicans over "Right-to-Work" legislation. The recall process is there to remove an official who has committed a real crime, or is just so corrupt that they need to be thrown out. It is not there to get rid of someone just because they passed a law you don't like, or because you disagree with their politics.
I sent an email to John Morse and told him what I think of him. If you would like to do the same, his email address is:
john.morse.senate@state.co.us
By the way, it isn't that we simply don't like the law passed in Colorado. It is because the law is unconstitutional and the people who passed it are tyrants and have committed treason.
It's hardly a long shot. 16,000 signatures gathered when only 7200 were required. Average rejection rate is 30-35%. In any reasonable scenario, Morse is in real trouble.
You're right that a recall is inadvisable in a close race, but that's not what this is. This will send a strong message to like-minded lawmakers, and this sort of effort is far from over.
Cautious optimism is merited here. Keep your eyes open.
The Colorado DOJ (in theory) exists to handle criminal matters and corruption.
When a politician defies the will of the people, then a recall vote is absolutely justified if enough people support it. The recall process is there for the explicit reason of getting rid of politicians who ignore the will of the people.
The Wiconsin recall failed not because it was a bad idea, but rather because union activists believed their view was that of the majority. They were wrong.
The people of Colorado have met the requirement necessary to force a recall election. Whether or not this means John Morse will lose his job remains to be seen.
Perhaps the majority of those in Colorado do not value the 2nd Amendment. That would be unfortunate. However, even fools have the right to vote. This fact will always remain a constant burden on the Republic.
Don't run him off just yet. I still want to drop some ready-mix concrete powder into his sewer clean-out plug. An a$$hole like him needs to learn what it is like to be CONSTIPATED. If he lived a bit closet to the South, I would want to plant some KUDZU in his yard. Guess the "Constipation" will have to do for the time being.
The petition only leads to a recall election. Enough people need to come out and actually vote for the recall. That is why this is a long shot at best. Still, it would send a message. IIRC, Sheriff Joe just survived an actual recall election in Arizona.
If 16,000 people were mad enough to sign the recall petition I am sure at least that many will get out to vote Morse out of office. He only won by 340 votes in the last election and that was before he angered gun owners in his district. Also he only got 13,700 votes in the last election well under the amount of people that signed the petition. I think he is in trouble and a very good chance he will be kicked out of office!

The "laws" passed. Y the tyrants in Colorado (and NY, and MD) ARE crimes against the people ... They violate our G-d given rights.

You have it 100% wrong.

Red marks to the throat don't count. They must be black!

Even an unsuccessful 'recall' has merit as it eats up campaign funds that would otherwise be used for the next election cycle ...
