I also liked the Philip José Farmer story that has a special connection to this (no, I'm not going to spoil it for those who haven't read it): Riders of the Purple Wage. It appeared in Harlan Ellison's anthology Dangerous Visions. Come to think of it, now that I remember the story, it sounds almost like this society we're in.

Worth the read.

My last name is Fitzpatrick. My dads name is Patrick. And yes, had a great St Patricks day thank you very much. First time I've drank Irish whiskey in 5 years. Shot it down with Guiness. I toasted to Oblabla's early demise ..ummm, I don't remember how many times. :)
