Get 'em while you can.

If someone actually produced these, they'd sell out overnight. I've been noticing that birdshot loads are about all that's left on the shelf.

For what its worth...

We just had a local guy sentenced to 20 years in Federal Prison and a $250,000.00 fine for shooting at a crop duster here in Young County, Texas. The shooting occurred back in 2008. Took a little while, but the Texas Rangers got him. So all of you yahoos that say they're going to shoot down drones over head, above your property...well, I suggest you talk to an attorney first. He was going to be tried under Texas law as the Feds didn't want the case initially. But it ended up in Federal Court. And there you have it. Some attorneys practice only state law. Others practice only Federal Law. Pick one or both. Oh, one other thing...all you guys that think you own the airspace up to 500 feet above ground level? The crop duster was no more than 40 or 50 feet above the ground at the time of the shooting. He was pulling up after a low level spraying run and turning around to drop back down and make another pass. The pilot is out of Olney, Texas. If our local paper has a link I will post it. It may also have been in the Wichita Falls, Texas, paper also.

RogerJ,
If all you have is birdshot, then double cut (I think that's the correct term) the shell. Then the whole shell (shot, cup & shell above the cut) comes out as one 60 caliber slug.

Anon 4:57,
If you're going to shoot at low flying aircraft (especially drones), don't do it at or near your own property.

Just heard that Remington is investing another $20 million in NY and the day after the announcement they got an $80 million govt contract.
Time for a lifetime boycott of the quislings.

Shooting at a MANNED airplane is in a different catagory altogether than shooting at a DRONE, as the former is attempted murder.
The phony Remington Drone loads are a comic prop - apparently you missed that little nuance.
At any rate, unless it's one of those hobby-sized drones, nobody will be shooting down jack shit.
The color of a Predator drone combined with the height they generally cruise at (10,000 ft plus) pretty much guarantees you'll never know it is watching you.

So, I guess we need someone to come up with a garage built SAM.

Remington was owned by Cerberus Capital Management and still may be. I heard rumors CCM was trying to sell the Freedom Group but has not found a buyer. Freedom Group includes not only Remington in Ilion NY, but Bushmaster Firearms, DPMS/Panther Arms, Marlin, H&R, The Parker Gun, Advanced Armament Corp. , Dakota Arms, Para USA and Barnes Bullets. Beating up on Remington will only punish the larger group also. Instead, why don't we look at forming a corporation to purchase the assets OF FG and then relocate Remington out of the NE corridor? Just sayin'...

@ Anonymous: I forget where I first heard of 'ringing', a shot-shell, but it's MUCH fun, on old car doors, and such...I'd say it would also work in the same role as 'powdered lead' shot-shells...and if you saturate the shot very carefully, with melted cheese-wrapping wax...you wind up with a kind of 'hyper-Glaser' load. I use an exacto knife, or similar, and using the point, create cut perforations, every sixteenth of an inch, or so, all the way 'round the shell, at the area just about the base of the wad.
