"Do they need a bazooka?" Well, now that you mention it, DiFi.. .

"US assault weapons ban heading for defeat in Senate."
Mrs Feinstein said the exemption should provide the American people with more than enough weapons to defend themselves.
"Do they need a bazooka?" she asked at the hearing. "I don't think so."
Uh, based upon recent history, that wouldn't be a bad idea DiFi.
Of course all this is a red herring and they know it. It is an exercise to get something they want even more -- registration and control of private sales.
The only one that seems likely to win approval by the Senate and be sent to the Republican-led House of Representatives for consideration is the measure to enhance school security. The one to expand background checks may also survive if Democrats can reach a compromise on it with Republicans.
The looming dead elephant party sellout in the making is mentioned at Politico:
Cornyn, though, did suggest he might support a potential bipartisan compromise on universal background checks if a deal can be reached when the gun bill comes to the Senate floor in coming weeks. Democratic Sens. Chuck Schumer (N.Y.) and Joe Manchin (W.Va.) are searching for GOP backers for that legislation after talks with Sen. Tom Coburn (R-Okla.) broke down.

Overton window tactics.

Kind of like the man who sits down next to the woman at the bar, buys her a drink and asks if she'd sleep with him for a million dollars.

After she says yes he asks if she would for a hundred.

With disgust she huffs "no, what do you think I am?".

He replies "we've already established that, now we're just negotiating price".

I've been warning people in Texas that Cornyn is a wolf in sheep's clothing for a long time now. Sadly, too many are still asleep at the wheel. The chairman of the Republican Party of Texas, Steve Munisteri, still thinks Cornyn is pro second amendment, even though I have proven to him that Cornyn doesn't even believe the second amendment is for our protection against tyranny. How can you be for something you don't even understand or refuse to acknowledge?

Make no mistake, Cornyn understands the history and intent of the second amendment - he just doesn't support it. Neither does Steve Munisteri. Neither does the Republican Party. Ted Cruz is the exception, not the rule.

When the time comes for an accounting, there will be as many Republicans swinging on the end of a rope as Democrats.

Never forget it.

While the Carl Gustav would probably be the best for home defense, being roughly analogous to the colonists privately owned cannon of the revolutionary period, The M40 Recoilless Rifle would be a good choice as well. Being an older design, it will be more familiar to the Cincinnatus's (Cincinnati !?!) among our Citizenry. A good used one should be easier to find at a show...

Oops. the clutch slipped on my attachment to reality.

Slippery slope. If they can legislate control of private sales of raw milk, backyard garden vegetables, etc., they think they can regulate private sales of anything. Time to get this so-called "government" off our back. The monkey has been riding us about 150 years too long.

I trained with a 3.5 rocket launcher many years ago. In truth, I would prefer a RPG-7 DiFi; could you arrange that for me? Given the state of affairs here in CONUS, could you make that a bull order? Me thinks time is short.

Maybe just what the "government" threatens us with.
Swat show up full-auto with tasers, flash-bangs, and armor.
Citizens are entitled to the same and we're going to find out if the Bill of Rights still has meaning and purpose, or if the Marxists have won the war without firing a shot.
If we don't stop them now, your children will not know liberty and freedom.
The threat to the Congress is not that we won't vote for you if you trample the Constitution; it's that we'll ____ ___. You fill in the blanks.
This will make Operation Wall Street look like babies in the playpen.

So far, the Stalinsit commies have won the war regarding regulation of your shithouse priviledges.

Stalinist commies will kill you if you let 'em get close enough.

3.5 rocket is good with WP. Mark 'em, call in air.

Now where's that air?

A bazooka is an obsolete collector's item with ammo made of "unobtainium". On the other hand, in some places RPG's are dirt cheap and in plentiful supply (just not in the USA). Make mine an RPG, please!
