America's Ruling Class: As good a description of the enemies of the Founders' Republic as you are likely to find.

Long, but worth every minute. I disagree with the author's hopeful expectation that this divide can be bridged by anything other than bodies and blood -- if history teaches us anything, it teaches us that -- but Codevilla's analysis of our self-appointed "ruling class" is largely on point.

A litle research would list many politicians at all levels whose wives, sons and daughters have been elected to their seats when they die. It doesn't make a lot of difference that they ARE elected. There's a lot of inbreeding (of both offspring and ideologies) and a lot of careerism in what was intended by the Founders to be a temporary term of public service, not self-serving. We need no dynasties here.

Wow! 21 pages of print and at least one highlighted "quotable quote" on every page...

And the divide isn't going to be bridged by the likes of Glenn Beck, either.

Better change that to just about every paragraph!

American Spectator, National Review, Faux News, Hannity, Beck, Limbaugh, Boortz, Savage, etc. Folks, the time for talking is over. It's time to train, prepare, network with those who you trust impicitly, and get ready for the fireworks. If you are going to spend time reading anything, it should be technical manuals, survival advice, and the Good Book. Do not waste your time with a bunch of effete talking heads who are rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic.

The best summation of the progressive movement, of how they think and why, of how we got to where we are, that I have ever read.

Add to that the brief outline in closing of the difficulties facing those of us who would reform and restore the mess, and I couldn't agree with more with Mike:

Can't we shoot these bastards (unfortunately in their millions) and just Move On?
