Yes, some gun owners are that dumb, always willing to grovel at the feet of power as long as it's got that "R" label. But not all of us are. If Christie is the nominee, the only sane thing for gun owners to do this election is stay home, and let the chips fall where they may.
Old Grey Beard will be along momentarily to tell us if Christie is the Republicrat nominee then we all have to vote for him, otherwise the evil Demopublicans will win!
Anyone that obese has some issues period, be it compensating for something, greed, laziness, whatever. And whatever it is should disqualify (in the minds of the voters if nowhere else) such a person from a leadership position. You don't need someone of an unbalanced/flawed nature in such a job.
This guy in particular has shown himself to be a self righteous bully/faux tough guy and he needs to be shown the door. Maybe if he has to work for a living he'll lose some weight, so we'd be doing him a favor.
There's literally a dozen reasons Christie is unqualified to be in office, not least of which is his abysmal record on the 2A, but being fat isn't one of them.
And in case you're thinking I'm defending him b/c I'm "obese"....nope....I'm 215 with a 31" waist.
My point is simply that he's a tyrannical POS....his appearance is no more relevant that someone whose skin color differs from your own. Just b/c it's now okay to discriminate against fat people, smokers and Christians doesn't mean it's okay.
The basic problem is that gun owners are by inclination decent folks who simply cannot concieve of the degradation and depravity which inhabits the hearts of their opponents.
They give those who should be put down like mad dogs a 'chance' (to enslave them!) or 'the benefit of the doubt' (when there is no doubt).
As the Aussies say - "Get a little bit of Mongrel in yah!"
NJ Governor Christie hasn't the chops to be a front man as his tenure in Trenton has demonstrated. He hit his high note as a prosecutor beating up on chumps.
(Since the governor resembles the rotundity of Jackie Gleason I thought some reference to the "Honeymooners" was fitting.)

Trust Christie? BWAHAHAHA! I can trust him as far as I can throw that fat communist troll.
Face it, he's a closet communist wearing an (R). Until the republicants figure out where they stand, there is no trust.

Sorry for the mini-rant.
