Thanks for the heads-up, Scalia. "Supreme Court justice predicts internment camps in America’s future."

“Well of course Korematsu was wrong. And I think we have repudiated in a later case. But you are kidding yourself if you think the same thing will not happen again,” Scalia told students and faculty during a lunchtime Q-and-A session. Scalia cited a Latin expression meaning, “In times of war, the laws fall silent.” “That’s what was going on — the panic about the war and the invasion of the Pacific and whatnot. That’s what happens. It was wrong, but I would not be surprised to see it happen again, in time of war. It’s no justification, but it is the reality,” he said.
I guess that means that since we can't expect a fair trial in the courts we can still count on an unfair gunfight in the streets. A little Solzhenitsyn is instructive here:
“And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?... The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If...if...We didn't love freedom enough. And even more – we had no awareness of the real situation.... We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.”

History doesn't repeat itself. History rhymes.

I'm not going to any camp.

If they're at the point that they're rounding people up, I've got nothing left to lose.

You're going to have to put me down like a rabid dog before I go willingly to any camp.

No gun? No problem. I'll pick up the first thing I can grab, and bash their skull in, or jam it into their neck or eye, repeatedly. Can't find anything sharp to stab with? Bite their face off. Wrap your mouth around their chin, and bite down. Hard.

They're going to scream bloody murder. Just remember one thing: Their screams won't hurt you, it's just noisy.

Jab your fingers into their eyes. Head-butt them. The heal of your hand works wonders at the right spot, like the solar plexus. Kick 'em over and over again. Whatever it takes. Do it to defend yourself.

If you're going to go down, then take as many of them with you, and don't make it easy. Make them pour their resources into subduing you. Three to five government goons going after me means there's that many goons who can't go after another innocent person who might be able to escape and live.

"Come back with a warrant. I do not consent to any search, officer." Say that, over and over again, through a closed door. And if they leave, and don't bash in your door, then grab a bag of clothing, grab a gun (or two, or more.), grab some ammo, grab some food and water, and Run.

Don't care where. Just run. Preferable to friendly territory to regroup, refresh, and rearm.

"I've done nothing wrong. I've got nothing to hide." How many people have said and thought those words throughout the 20th century before ending up in a mass-grave?

If they're at the point of rounding up people, you've got nothing lose.

If more people had had the balls to fight back, then history would have been a lot different.

I wonder if that Supreme Court Justice is going to come down with a sudden illness, and die for showing their hands too soon?

Initially, I was a little surprised at Scalia's candidness on a subject the rest of government breaks it's balls to deny. Then I thought about other high placed Americans who tried to send warnings:McCarthy, Eisenhower, Kennedy, and more than a few Colonels. Looks like the unfair street fight is a foregone conclusion. Nice to know that my preps were not in vain.

I think that the residence info for each and every Elected Official in DC, appointed Czar, Federal Judge, US Attorney, Supremes, and the list goes on and on, is already known. The old saying "Payback is a Bitch" comes to mind if the Clowns in Government decide to trample on the Constitution. If it happens, there will be "Hell to Pay" and this even might include the extended family members of all of the above mentioned persons. If they want to try something stupid, it surely will BACKFIRE on them. There just might be some interesting times if the Commie in Chief decides to show his stupidity.

Two thoughts.
1st: One of my Grandfathers was a carpenter and helped build the Japanese "internment" (concentration) camp located just outside Monahans, Texas. Talk about dry, dusty, god-forsaken territory. The place was terrible. The internees were not systemically mistreated but it most definitely was not Club Med. My Grandpa regretted what was done to those good people but he had a wife and two little girls to provide for.

2nd: Before they start rounding up "potential domestic terrorists" (which is how they will characterize the people they will be rounding up) they will round up all the guns they can. It's gonna get mean, folks. Gonna get REAL MEAN!!! Best keep your go bag ready. Best have several mags (all you can afford?) loaded and stored with your gun.

I would urge anybody who wants to get a good picture of the whole sordid chapter of our history to read the book "Farewell to Manzanar" by Jeanne Houston and James D. Houston. You can get it on Amazon in hardbound, paperback or Kindle editions. They also made a movie from the book released in 1976 as a television movie. You're on your own to look for it. But it was a powerful film. There have been other films and documentaries about the time.

God help us all if the FEMA camps are as bad as those places were. And after the war the Japanese folks got set free. Of course they had lost everything they had in the interim. I don't reckon much anybody's gonna be leaving those places any way but in a hearse. Not sure I trust the Dhimmicrats to treat us AS WELL as Stalin and company did the folks in the Gulags.

I have a camp in a swamp nearby. It's ready for a few tyrants to occupy it at a moment's notice.

In the swamp, no one can hear you scream. Even if they could, few would be foolish enough to explore with all of the creepy crawleys out there...myself being one of those creepy crawleys.

I will not go silently into the night.

Have you ever noticed how freely progressives use the phrase 'shoot to kill', whereas free men understand intuitively that they themselves shoot to stay alive?
