Prosecute Illegal Gun Owners
Letter to the editor
7:13 p.m. EST, February 12, 2014
Today's Courant says that there could be as many as 330,000 people with assault weapons who refused to register them according to the law [Feb. 11, Page 1, "Thousands Ignore Law On Gun Registration"]. Then now is the time to increase the penalty and start rounding them up.
At the first sign that someone has an illegal weapon , they should be immediately tried and imprisoned. These are the people we must be worried and concerned about -- the ones who need to keep their ownership secret.
Something wrong when they refuse to obey the law -- a law necessary for the safety of the rest of us and our children. Lots of laws are not pleasant, but we do not deliberately break them.

Vichy Water, ma'am?
Does anyone doubt that this person would cheer loudly as CT citizens are loaded in box cars? Didn't think so.
The PUBLIC has a DUTY to NOT obay unjkust, unconstitutional laws, a duty to refuse to violate the Constitution in the face of the unjust "gubbermint"
Is anyone else tired of being angry about things like this?
I just shake my head in wonder and utter disappointment at the stupendous ignorance of such people. They obviously lack sufficient education to understand that of which they speak.
People like this think that if the government keeps them "safe", they can proceed, head-down, with their gaze firmly affixed to whatever electronic device they favor, in blissful ignorance of things that really matter, such as taking personal responsibility for their own safety - and liberty.
If I thought it would do anybody any good, I'd pity them for their ignorance.
I believe this is she is on facebook (but am not 100%): https://www.facebook.com/pam.bergren
After a quick google search, this Pam from East Hartford bitch is quite vocal with her fascist collectivist opinions on various online fora. She's a Republican-hating, Madcow-loving Obama humper. Engaging her in any kind of dialog would likely be akin to debating a clown. Or a two year old.
Her contact info could be this: http://www.whitepages.com/name/Pamela-G-Bergren/East-Hartford-CT/47ecfic

Personally, I'd ignore her. She is just plain stupid, and you can't fix stupid.
I just have to say, that should it come to unpleasantness, remember her, and everyone like her that enabled it. Clinton's ROE.
What if "typewriters", "computers", and "word processors" were substituted for "guns", "weapons" and "assault rifles" in your unConstitutional law? Replace "paper" and "ink" for "bullets", "cartridges" and "magazines"?
How quickly would you, Mr and MS Libtard, scream then about trampling on rights?
One can argue that just as much, if not more, damage has been done to people, politics, and civilizations through the power of propaganda and the printed page, than has been done through weaponry (from the rock, to the atomic bomb).
But do not blame the tool, for the damage done by the misuse of that tool (which would be a whole 'nother book by itself).
So, instead of banning the tool (either "guns" or "computers"), ban the misuse of the tool. But wait! Don't we have laws (some would say, too many laws) on the books already, banning the misuse of guns and other weaponry? From assault, to robbery, to murder?! Are these laws not already being enforced to the maximum? Wellllll, maybe not so much. Then why are we trying to create more laws, many unenforceable, that blame the tool, instead of the user that misuses the tool?
Someone (with more time on their hands than I do) should take some of these newly passed, and recently proposed gun control laws (which are more about “control” then about “guns”), and strike through all the various words for “guns”, “weapons”, “magazines”, “bullets”, “cartridges”, etc, and replace them with words describing the ancient and modern media, “magazines”, “newspaper”, “paper”, “ink”, “computer”, “printer”, etc. Broadcast & publish these two “laws”, side-by-side. Compare them. Show the ridiculousness of the law. Laugh at both the law, and the sponsors and supporters of that law (a Libtard hates nothing worse then to be ridiculed and laughed at. They take themselves WAY to seriously).
I could go on, but at this point I find myself looping my logic, and repeating what is already being done by better men and women than I. So I close, and remain humbly yours,

Will the Courant be publishing lists of the "disappeared" or will they choose to ignore that troubling aspect of communist statist collectivism enforcement?
Perhaps the Courant will be able to obtain a "list" of gun owners for public identification. Their neighbors could easily identify them with perhaps a symbol on their home or to wear on their clothing?
Will the residents of Hartford one day awaken to find neatly typed lists posted about town ...with the names of those who support the oppression, the names of their family members along with their home addresses?
Answering GA Patriot ...as long as those being loaded into the box car "didn't obey the law" she'll be cheering. She is without moral conscience and lacks the intellectual capacity to reason and think independently. She will "obey" ...
It's time to pray, petition our Lord for mercy and forgiveness.

Do these wannabe gun-grabbers really want Connecticut 2014 to end up something like Massachusetts 1775?
Woodman - that SOMEONE you call to SHOULD be EVERY REPUBLICAN in elected office! Each and every one of them have the staff and money to create and submit just what you propose. As supposed defenders of government of republican form, the open question becomes why they aren't doing so.
Noteworthy it IS that SCOTUS decided the exact point you make when In specific example of the First Amendment it wrote - The Second Amendment is no different.
With STRICT SCRUTINY applied, actually built around. To the First, the boundaries of government authority are actually very clear. The overwhelming amount of gun control on the books FAILS to pass the test you submit. And they KNOW IT!! This is why we witness the lower courts TRYING to create a "new" level of scrutiny.
Honest application of the house of cards THEY BUILT (due process incorporation) obliterates the very him control they want imposed. Journalists crack me up with their stupidity, as the argue for the destruction of the right they claim for their own livelyhood - and they are so uneducated they don't even see it.
Continued permission arguments have led to the logical outcome - senators like Durbin asking publicly for legislation determining who the first amendment actually applies to. The controllers DO understand the problem they face, the test you offer, and the heights of stupidity they reach for trying to deny it in order to keep their precious gun control would be amusing if it weren't so dangerous.

Do not worry, Pam. Most of those people you denigrate are probably busy selling their homes, packing their vehicles, and getting ready to move to free states, where their rights are respected. They have had enough of you and your kind, and are leaving what used to be a decent place to live. The "felons" just do not have time to waste on you.
I notice you live in East Hartford. When the gangbangers and thugs come from across the river, there will not be anyone left to defend you, feed you, or listen to you. Be glad you can still conduct your collectivist rant now, as once the expected occurs, your voice will be lost in the wilderness. Nobody will care. You brought it upon yourself.
Anon Mike III,
That's a nice thought, if I could trust any Republitards in great numbers. Right now I consider most Republitards = RINOs = Leftist Libtards Light (LLL). Only a few are truly conservative (or close enough), such as Mike Lee (UT), Jason Chaffetz (UT), Ted Cruz (TX). Marcio Rubio (FL) is an Epic Fail, rapidly becoming another Juan McPain.
But you have put out a good addendum to my initial idea. If a private individual can do what I suggested, that would be best. If a Kongress Kritter can add to the effort with their budget and workforce, so much the better.
Thank you for your idea. Have a wonderful III-per day. Keep it free.

I have read several of her Blogs on Discus, and the forums At the Courant, she is a uniformed Gun Hater, and a Libtard Commie...I can"t even answer her Ramblings without Profuse Swear Words, she is a Dolt!!!
Sorry, wrong thread.
CT's prison population now is 18k, peaked at 20k in 2008, according to:
http://ctmirror.org/connecticut-begins-close-wide-racial-and-ethnic-gaps-prison-population/
So this person expects CT to imprison 330,000 people.
Good luck with that.
The Feds currently house 215k, by comparison.
Put her name on the list for the up-and-coming war crimes trials.
And taxes would need to icrease in CT by $19.8 Billion incarcerate 330,000.
Betcha the gun grabbers disappear if they have to foot the bill.
330,000 felons x $50,000 per year to incarcerate = $16,500,000,000 per year in addition to current prison budget.
Looks like they need to raise some taxes in Connecticut for more jails, prisons, bailiffs and prosecutors. But wait! If 330,000 less taxpayers are paying the state income tax and are not paying significant sales taxes, then the revenue stream available to the state of Connecticut will be diminished. If consumers in other states start boycotting products manufactured or distributed from fascist states like Connecticut, then the economic prospects for Connecticut look even worse.
Good luck with that "paradise" you created there in Connecticut. I hope you all enjoy that illusion of being "safer".
I bend a knee for no man (or woman).
