Juan Williams: "GOP distracts from drug horror" with Gunwalker Scandal investigation.

Mendacity; men·dac·i·ty
n. pl. men·dac·i·ties
1. The condition of being mendacious; untruthfulness.
2. A lie; a falsehood.

"The Right has had it in for Holder ever since he managed the controversial pardon of fugitive Marc Rich in the Clinton Justice Department."

You've got to read the whole thing to understand what mendacity is at work here.

My comment posted at The Hill, "awaiting moderation":

Right. This from a guy who, on FOX News Sunday, didn't know the difference between Melson, an ATF Acting Director, and Melman, a cartoon giraffe in the movie "Madagascar."

As the guy who effectively broke this story on the Internet on 28 December, who communicated early on with ATF whistleblowers, who linked them up with Senator Sessions and Senator Grassley's people and the media, this patently political piece of twisted excremental spin is more than disgusting.

If you want to talk about depraved indifference to murder, Juan, how about the ATF supervisors who were "giddy" at the reports of "walked" firearms turning up at murder scenes in Mexico?

The scandal is young, and there will be many more words uttered that you will in the end have to eat, Juan, but among the bitterest of turds will be your deliberate ignorance of the obvious and your stupid defense of the indefensible -- that this administration which you heralded into existence with sweet journalistic hymns of approval, was so evil and corrupt that they deliberately let firearms go into the hands of cartel murderers in order to justify their subversion of the Second Amendment here at home.

Man it wouldn't be so horrific except that his has so many comrades exactly like himself; no morals, no scruples, but they know what's good for us- and it's having no weapons to defend ourselves against the likes of them and all their 'helpful' plans. God have mercy on our souls, the bright are being crushed by the ignorant and the docile by the powerful and nobody has a long enough attention span to care about it anymore these days. They just want to let the (lying cheating stealing) PTB take care of everything for them. I would say in advance they're going to deserve exactly what they get paid in by these thugs and over paid Lords of governance.

And this is exactly why so many in the Establishment Media have been so quiet about GunWalker. They are smart enough, well most of them (especially at the local level) to realize that any words of attempted defense will be words they will have to eventually eat. I think many tire of falling on Barry's sword in that way.

Juan just tried to jump start a new meme - one that could help the sheep dismiss how huge this really is. "Oh this is just Republicans making something out of nothing" is a trite excuse of projection that will not work. Juan is simply trying to make a really big something into nothing, again, to defend his messiah.

More and more folks are becoming educated about this scandal as each day passes. The tsunami, that is larger than Watergate or a Japanese flood, cannot be "contained" or explained away. All that an be done is being done. It is being slow played.

Juan had the courage to stand up to the foolishness when he said something legit about Muslims, but he demonstrates a serious lack of it here. His man, Barry, used taxpayer dollars to play politics in order to facilitate further violation of our Constitution - on the rights front.

Juan, you had better think hard the next time you talk about rights violations!

Juan, that is treason. And you just tried to defend it with party politics of your own. You should be ashamed of yourself. Ashamed.

Juan has crapped his pants again.

And related to your earlier post, "How little did they know..." with Fox News Sunday Panel Plus

Fox News has turned to $hit. It looks little different from ABCCBSNBCCNNNPR; Cheryl Atkison's work being the rare exception within the LSM.

i love wuan because i know that what ever he says the opposite is true.he is a believer in marxism for us but not for him or president bongo.the real horror of drugs is that it gives the national socialist democratic worker party an excuse to steal our liberties.i don't give a rats ass about junkies because they soon o.d. and we are rid of them.but the commies will be more difficult to get rid of howeverwe can start with holder, bongo and batf so keep digging at the criminals in this administration.

I see a lot of nastily worded attacks on Williams in the comments. I don't see Mike's comment. Probably because he included too many facts that make Juan look like a liar.

Following links in the piece, I found some REALLY interesting facts. Holder knew about Gunrunner AT LEAST two years before he told Issa he had only learned of F&F a "few weeks" before he testified.

Here is an excerpt from remarks delivered by Attorney General Eric Holder at the Mexico/United States Arms Trafficking Conference, CUERNAVACA, MEXICO ~ Thursday, April 2, 2009

Last week, our administration launched a major new effort to break the backs of the cartels. My department is committing 100 new ATF personnel to the Southwest border in the next 100 days to supplement our ongoing Project Gunrunner, DEA is adding 16 new positions on the border, as well as mobile enforcement teams, and the FBI is creating a new intelligence group focusing on kidnapping and extortion. DHS is making similar commitments, as Secretary Napolitano will detail.
(found at http://tinyurl.com/holder040209 )

Incontrovertable evidence that Holder's "in the last few weeks." was actually over TWO YEARS (i.e. over 104 weeks).

But who has the stones to prosecute him? Hell! Who HAS the JURISDICTION??

Lawls. Williams should just shut his mouth.

Inside data: There were some really, REALLY pissed off folks in Treasury over the pardon for Rich. Folks who'd been trying to get that guy for years because of his various shenanigans.

Hell, I'd have been out for Holder's scalp too, regardless.
