My uncle used to raise wolves, until some jackass poisoned them. He brought one of them to my kindergarten class 20 years ago. Several of my classmates were devoured, but all in all it was a good day.

Off-topic, on Fast & Furious:

Fast and Furious: The Federal Gun Running Scandal
by seekingamericadotorg

Seeking America's debut show will deal with the subject of Federal Agents participation in the gun running business.. It started off as "Project Gunrunner" and in 2009 there was an offshoot called "Fast and Furious" that undermined the efforts of Project Gunrunner by allowing thousands of guns to "walk" across the border into the waiting arms of Mexico's kingpins of the narco - gunrunning enterprise. Join us as we take a look into what's really happening while the corporate owned media continues distracting the American public with stories that don't affect our lives.

It's a 30-minute podcast summarizing the matter to date.

Thanks for your doggedness and your guts, Mike.

The state has already paid out 364,000 euros (530,000 dollars) to farmers and shepherds such as Vignon this year to compensate them for their mauled sheep.

The nanny state solves the problem (/satire)

Guess they never heard of a shovel in France.

Ever notice how wolves and collectivists are alike?

They will both run in packs, devour all you own, and neither can thrive while you are armed and willing to use such.

Really quite humorous. The Law of Unintended Consequences does not apply here, as anyone with half a brain cell (that leaves out Liberals, Environmentalists & similar) would be able to see what would happen when you re-introduce a wolf population, in the same territory with shepherds, in Socialist Europe.
It would require a whole article in itself to fisk, dissect and satirize this article.

We have wolves that devour everything in America, they thrived in D.C. and New York, and are now taking everything in Middle America too.
I guess us Hobbits, need to band together and hunt wolves in Socialist clothing.

fgd-anchorage beat me to it!

"The state has already paid out 364,000 euros (530,000 dollars) to farmers and shepherds such as Vignon this year to compensate them for their mauled sheep.

"I hope that after this hasty measure we can introduce a regulation" limiting the number of wolves, said Yves Derbez, who lost 45 sheep to a wolf earlier this month.

"We have to take effective measures now before sheep farming disappears altogether."

born & bred socialists... absolutely dependent on the State for protection and compensation. It's a crisis, kill them all! The sheep must survive.

Hmmm? What about some NVG's and a good rifle?

Ditto on the NVG and rifle solution. Hell how about selling tickets to foreign hunters to go over and hunt the buggers down?

Sweeten the deal with first class hotels, great cooking, wine, and other goodies.

Then a monetary prize to the shooter who gets the most kills at the end of the day!

Ditto on the NVGs and good rifles! Hell why not sweeten the deal! Why don't the French government sell permits to foreign hunters to come in and take names and kick wolfy asses. With said permits would be great food, wines, and lodgings at top of the line hotels.

Also at the end of each day a tally would be made and the hunter with the highest number of kills gets a cash prize!

The French government (and ours in many cases) manages ecosystems about as well as they manage everything else.

In this country, surfing and personal watercraft on the same stretch of beach as swimmers don't work out so well so we separate the swimmers from things that sometimes bonk into swimmers' heads. The froggies need to likewise set up areas where wolves can eat whatever they can catch and advise the shepherds and farmers (and their children) that they go there at their own risk. Another set of areas are for the farmers and shepherds. Wolves in those areas may be taken at will. I understand a wolf pelt makes a decent throw rug. See, Monsieur! That wasn't so hard to figure out, was it?

The whining about the rights of the poor shepherds and the poor misunderstood wolves may now begin.

I thought the title was a metaphor for the afro-scum that's been invading for decades.

shootez vous, shovelez, shutez up!

If you can't shoot a wolf, then an environmentalist might be just as good a substitute.
