And yet another country heard from on the subject of Independence Day.

Like most of these lefty intellectuals, he seems to be confusing the Declaration of Independence with the Constitution.

This clown is actually considered to be the conservative on NYT.

Y'all check out WRSA for the last few days. Scarier than usual.

Just when I think they can't seem any more stupid.

It feels like living in yet another country here in Illinois where we have a Governor who is openly proud to be independent from, and immune to, the Second Amendment freedoms enshrined within the Constitution of these united States.

This can only mean that the Executive of Illinois, along with a legislature that continues to criminalize any form of carry for anyone not a peace officer, declares Independence from those united States....

While no worshiper of the Constitution or the framers when it comes to the Declaration I see man at one his finest moments just behind those men that took a stand on Lexington Green and Breed's Hill.

I am weary of reading these peoples indigestible filth which can come only from the mind of someone that no longer considers us human. The danger is growing as the split widens, prepare.

DAMN! but I'd like to have some of whatever this guy and the nutcase who wrote the previous one are on. Looks like (to borrow a phrase from many of our youth) "PRIMO SHIT". Classic leftist up-is-down, day-is-night, wrong-is-right balderdash.

The problem is that there are so very many out there who drink deeply - on a daily basis - of that flavor of cool-ade. I am convinced that Mike wrote earlier, we are two peoples living within the same geographic boundaries. From discussions on Rant-Rave it is imminently clear that the two groups have very little in common save language and even in that we understand certain key words in RADICALLY different ways.

I remember reading about people in NYC who were utterly astounded when W won re-election because no one they knew had voted for him. Well, most of the people I know and talk to are every bit as convinced of the imminence of a revolution as am I. It's not even a topic of debate. For many of us it is a certainty. Nobody knows the "when" but everyone agrees on the "what".

That's sad. But entirely predictable. The left has been trying the same statist/collectivist/utopianist schemes since the 19th century and it has failed miserably EVERY LAST TIME! I believe it was Einstein who defied Insanity as "doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." Michael Savage can sound like a complete raving wacko a good part of the time (at least to my ears) but he has the right of it when he declares liberalism to be a mental disorder.

A thousand years from now when archaeologists, anthropologists and historians look back on the horrific death toll resulting from the coming revolution and fall of western civilization, many will call it the "Great Die-Off" but others will call it the "Great Culling" when virtually all carrying the gene for leftism/progressivism will perish because they are constitutionally incapable of of recognizing what is coming and preparing for it. The sad part of that is the millions of good people who will perish along with them.

"It [the tea party name] implies something fundamentally wrong with taxes themselves or, at the least, that current levels of taxation (the lowest in decades) are dangerously oppressive."

Taxes today are what they typically have been--about 20% of GDP. However, THE LEVEL OF SPENDING and attendant deficit is without precedent in peace time.

These Leftists are unusually adept at such strawman arguments, which no doubt serves to confuse the uninformed. Fight back; get an economic education.

You nutbags are the ones from another country. How DARE you imagine that you, who, by your own jacked up numbers, are only 3% of the population (and in reality it's more like 0.03%), represent the 'real' country? It's OUR fucking country, not yours. Remember that when you try your revolution and we put you in the ground.

I drove thru Illinois last week and made absolutely NO stops in that state (didn't spend one thin dime) and I carried my 3 firearms in the car all the way across that rat-hole of a state. My concealed carry permit is as recognized as my driver's license in many states but not in Illinois. Don't plan on doing any business there till the Constitution is recognized. Just my 2 cents worth.

Beware, Threepers! It is the dreaded General Kael, come to visit fire and ruin upon the Remnant.

I have one question before I die or submit, General. How can I remember your remorseless vengeance if I am to be put in the ground? ;^)

P.S. Point of clarification, ugly: We see ourselves as being engaged in a restoration; not a revolution. Can we go play now?

Sounds like fighting words to me.

Who, exactly, is going to put us in the ground? That's not a rhetorical question.

What do you mean this is your country? How are you so certain? If it is, does this mean you think you can continue to abuse us?

Math wasn't my strong subject, but .003% is still 30,000 people. I'll take that. Keep in mind the IRA, at its height, had an estimated 2-5,000 members, and that included "support" troops.

You're in for a rude awakening, Mr. Internet Tough Guy. You will choke on your own blood.

Some "nutbag" answered you 235 years ago: "We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen." --Samuel Adams, one of the original "Threepers"
