Governor Moonbeam is smarter than I thought. "Country Facing ‘Regime Crisis’ Similar To The Civil War."

Jerry Brown: California, Country Facing ‘Regime Crisis’ Similar To The Civil War

The governor tells Dave he believes the country hasn’t been this divided since the Civil War.

This week Brown has been using Civil War metaphors at his public events to describe the deep divisions in California, and the entire country for that matter, preaching with the passion of a born-again that the country is dangerously polarized.

“We are at a point of civil discord, and I would not minimize the risk to our country and to our state. It is not trivial. I’ve been around a long time, I’m a student of history, I’m a student of contemporary politics. We are facing what I would call a ‘regime crisis.’ The legitimacy of our very democratic institutions are in question,” he said.

I am governor Jerry Brown ,
My aura smiles , it never frowns .

""The conventional viewpoint says we need a jobs program and we need to cut welfare. Just the opposite! We need more welfare and fewer jobs. Jobs for every American is doomed to failure because of modern automation and production. We ought to recognize it and create an income-maintenance system so every single American has the dignity and the wherewithal for shelter, basic food, and medical care. I'm talking about welfare for all.""

Whatever you say Jerry

I wonder where and when Jerry came up with this idea? Certainly couldn't have been from CNN...

The legitimacy of our governing institutions has long been in question, Moonbeam. Welcome to the party, pal.

He is not on our side. However, this is more proof that sides are being drawn and choices are being made for Civil War II...

Considering we live IN A REPUBLIC,
I'd have to argue that our "democratic institutions" have *ALWAYS* been illegitimate.

That said, it's patently obvious that we have irreconcilable differences.

Best to split before the children get hurt!

How can we achieve dissolution without bloodshed?

This idiot is just now getting around to realizing the situation we are in?

Student of history?
Which history? Marxist/socialist?
Either way, you didn't learn much, and get an F for the course.

Ya think, Jerry?!

Yes, the country is polarized and its because of morons and thieves just like him who perpetually steal from one group of people, skim their share off the top and give the rest to someone else.

Theft by any other name is still THEFT!

"Ya think" Jerry Baby!!!

Uh that's "Republic" to those of us that can "read" history.

Well he would know all about that wouldn't he? Considering he's one of the creators of the"problem."

Astonishing how fast they move when they are implicated and in the cross-hairs.

For Anonymous at 4:48 PM:

Governor "Moonbeam" doesn't care about Patriots and their ropes because he realizes that his enablers have full auto, body armor, flashbangs, and armored vehicles. He is just putting the spin into the Media so he can justify deploying those. And rest assured his enablers will bow and scrape as they are deployed, not caring the least about their oath of office to "...preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution..."

The stench is overwhelming.

"Dedicated Dad" asked, as a final comment,"How can we achieve dissolution without bloodshed?" There are two ways to look at it and also to answer that query, Dedicated Dad. First would be the way Abe Lincoln looked at it, i.e., he would put down secession by waging a murderous war against the seceding state, without question. The second way would be that the fed gov would simply say, oh, you want out, want to quit the union, well, ok for you. The first is reality and the second is fantasy!

Abe Lincoln ordered his generals to totally smash the confederacy, kill anyone/everyone who rebels, and burn their property to the ground. And, that's exactly what union generals Sheridan and Sherman did to crush the rebellion. Abe Lincoln so trashed the U. S. Constitution in his preserving of the union that we suffer for it to this day.

President Barrack Housein Obummer would do exactly the same thing to a modern secessionist movement. And, to make matters worse, our military and naval forces would follow their orders and fire upon Americans who had rebelled. It would be a bloody mess, and this time our country would not survive it. We have too many enemies without, that would wage war against us during a second civil war. It would be doubtful that America would exist at the conclusion of hostilities.
