David Codrea breaks story: Issa threatens Melson with contempt for noncompliance with 'Gunwalker' subpoena!

David's latest with House Oversight Committee Press Release.

“The Department’s internal policy to withhold documents from what it labels pending criminal investigations may not deprive Congress from obtaining those same documents if they are pertinent to a congressional investigation – particularly in a matter involving allegations that reckless and inappropriate decisions by top Justice Department officials may have contributed to the deaths of both U.S. and Mexican citizens,” Chairman Issa wrote in citing Supreme Court precedents and previous Congressional investigations. “Let me be clear … we are not conducting a concurrent investigation with the Department of Justice, but rather an independent investigation OF the Department of Justice – specifically, of allegations that the reckless and inappropriate decisions of Department officials have created a serious public safety hazard. We are asking for documents that relate to decisions such officials made. Congress is legally entitled to all of these documents.”

An investigation OF the Department of Justice makes a big bulls eye on Holder and therefore on the President. As I recall, the Valerie Plame fiasco had both President Bush and VP Cheney targeted for leaking Plame's name. The media is showing it's bias in ignoring what could very well be the undoing of the Obama Administration. The sharp stick has been stuck up Holder's backside, now it needs to be hammered all the way in and let us see who else takes the fall. Do I smell an impeachment brewing?

There is not a snowball's chance in hell of The One and his toadies being removed by impeachment. First of all, do you REALLY think that "Weepy" Boehner has the guts to start one? Look at how thoroughly he brewed fresh hot black tea during the recent continuing resolution farce if you have any doubts. And even if the House did impeach, just exactly how far do you think removal would go in the Senate? Might they even be able to get 30 votes in favor, in light of the Dem majority combined with the jackasses-in-elephant-suits as well?

The bullet box is rapidly becoming the only credible means of restoring the Government to within its Constitutional limits. WHEN will it be time?

Heh - captcha is "cussital". OH HOW I WOULD LIKE TO!

Barry and his merry band of cronies know that as M Matis observed there is no chance of this EVER reaching impeachment level. All they have to do is continue to stonewall and ignore the subpoenas (or use them as tp) and just exactly who is going to enforce them? Someone from any of the various federal agencies who themselves are complicit in the whole mess? I don't think so, even if a rank & file agent from one of those agencies tried to do the right thing, does anyone really think his supervisors would allow him to do so?
Our only hope is to continue to get the word out and show the rest of the folks (Wake UP Sheeple) just how corrupt the whole kit & kaboodle really is.
