Had a big day yesterday and about did myself in. Will be at the ACGA show this weekend in Birmingham.

I had to travel to Georgia for an impromptu meeting of a subcommittee of the Coalition of Willing Lilliputians, together with some good clean fun function-testing firearms. Came back exhausted but with a pot-load of brass. Then I had to get measured for my rental tux for my oldest daughter's wedding next weekend. Finally, Rosey and I went to the Butterbean Festival in Pinson to pickup some supper and return home. A ton of walking, but it is a testament to how much I have improved on my efforts to reclaim weight and muscle mass that I was able to do it at all. (Of course I cheated and napped in the car on the way back from Georgia.)
Anyway, I'll be at the Alabama Gun Collectors show in Birmingham this weekend to try to raise a little smuggling money, mostly sitting down and minding some tables, so if you get the chance, drop by and see me. I have not yet had the chance to finish part three of my reaction to the Oregon massacre, so once I get set up today, I'll try to accomplish that writing by hand while I mind the tables and post it here later tonight. No rest for the weary. Must close to get to AGCA early to do the set-up I missed yesterday. More later. In the meantime I suggest this marvelous book for background reading:
A Hobbit, a Wardrobe, and a Great War: How J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis Rediscovered Faith, Friendship, and Heroism in the Cataclysm of 1914-18, by Joseph Loconte.
