A useful link for puncturing the lies of both Japanese Tojo apologists and "government monopoly of force" advocates like CSGV.

The Rape of Nanking was an episode of mass murder and mass rape committed by Japanese troops against the residents of Nanking during the Second Sino-Japanese War. The massacre was perpetrated during a six-week period starting from 13 December 1937, the day that the Japanese captured Nanking. During those six weeks some 300,000 Chinese civilians and POWs were murdered by soldiers of the Imperial Japanese Army. This was accompanied by widespread torture, rape and looting.

Asia is not going to be civilized after the methods of the west. There is too much Asia and she is too old.

Having lived 3+ years in Japan I was impressed by the Japanese people's honesty and morality. But having studied their history and culture I understand how such atrocities as Nanking can eventuate. Japanese culture is extremely family oriented. Indeed, their overriding motivation for moral behavior is their family. They refrain from doing immoral or illegal acts because, if discovered, such acts would bring shame and/or dishonor to their families.

There is an old Japanese proverb that goes something like, "A man away from home has no family." Thus, when in circumstances where their actions cannot reflect upon their families, they have no moral boundaries. Add to that the fact that, in classical Japanese thought, the Japanese word for foreigner DOES NOT - quite - equal human and you have a perfect recipe for any atrocity.

In my lifetime I have observed a steady and apparently deliberate erosion of classical models of behavior and morality. There is no longer "Truth" but merely "truth" or even "your/my truth". Add in the Leftist disdain for absolutes of any sort and you have a society without any real moral or ethical code.

Thank you Mike for bringing to mind past atrocities of the Japanese . There is active keyboards everywhere rewriting the past history to make these acts of brutality disappear .
One such act was in Paris France July 1942 in the Velodrome where thousands of people, mostly children lost their lives . You will be hard pressed to find any real data on it because it was mostly French brutalising other French people. Nazis need not apply. For those with the simple faith that believe that Americans will not turn on other Americans, read more about the "Velodrome Roundup".
