Had the privilege to fire one into the hull of an old Sherman tank. Would not have liked to be the crew inside - even though the copper jacketed rounds did not penetrate the side armor, little flecks of metal came off the inside which would have flown all around the inside of that tank doing untold damage to flesh and bone. Great weapon!

The article could have added the many uses of the M2 in aircraft roles in WW2. The P-51D carried 6. The B-17G carried 13.
But the bottom line remains: when Ma Deuce talks, people listen!
