Washington Wussies Worry: Will demonstration in House gallery lead to new rules?

A small demonstration yesterday in the Washington State House gallery by about 15 gun rights activists could become a big headache for Second Amendment advocates, as lawmakers are reportedly now considering a change in rules for armed citizens, the Associated Press and KOMO News are reporting.
The question now being asked among other rights activists is whether yesterday’s display helped or hurt their cause. That question probably won’t be answered unless, and until, state lawmakers decide whether to tighten down on the rules.
"Oooh, please Mr. Fox, don' throw us in DAT briar patch."

Them changing the rules would be a PERFECT example of our complaint.

Lawful exercise is looked down upon when actually done and in that instant the INTOLERANT people seek to ban exercise.

You can do XYZ... By rule... But if you actually dare do so then it's cause to no longer allow it.

Hmm. Sounds a lot like this- you have a right to carry a gun but if you do so then you will have your right to carry a gun revoked.

Pure hypocrisy. Pure stupidity.

The only thing more stupid is to blame those acting lawfully as if they are doing something wrong.

“Did you really think that we want those laws to be observed?” said Dr. Ferris. “We want them broken. You’d better get it straight that it’s not a bunch of boy scouts you’re up against—then you’ll know that this is not the age for beautiful gestures. We’re after power and we mean it. You fellows were pikers, but we know the real trick, and you’d better get wise to it. There’s no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren’t enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. Who wants a nation of law-abiding citizens? What’s there it that for anyone? But just pass the kind of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced nor objectively interpreted—and you create a nation of lawbreakers—and then you cash in on guilt. Now that’s the system, Mr. Rearden, that’s the game, and once you understand it, you’ll be much easier to deal with.” -- Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand
